dewdrop 2004-10-20 11:45 AM

cool! I thought that I messed up when I seen it was smaller.

kristian 2004-10-20 12:22 PM

Nice recips. I like moving my cursor over them. I should get out more.

grzepa 2004-10-20 12:26 PM

Mateusz 2004-10-21 10:28 AM

Are they obligatory or we can still use the old ones ?

Cleo 2004-10-21 10:51 AM

The old ones are fine. :)

stuveltje 2004-10-22 03:01 PM

very cool cleo, but i already make them smaller myself its just a couple of seconds work, butthis will help alot of webmasters|violin|

KCat 2004-10-22 07:01 PM

Nice! I like that LLs are moving towards recips that are a little smaller. Easier to fit them all together without editing. I know they're mostly there for the SEs, but it doesn't feel fair to customize them.

Cleo 2004-10-22 07:04 PM

Besides SE traffic they are about branding.

If they see my recip and/or logo on enough stuff then it must be something worth visiting.

Branding is very important so I really like it when my recip is used as is.

Makes sense. The recip tables webmasters customize where every link is the same color, size & font lose that branding ability completely.

Nice job on the recips.

I'm adding them to my collection.

Horny Dude 2004-10-24 03:40 PM

You going to let CherryPickedLinks.com know you have made the changes so they can copy.....LOL

j/k nice recips!

Cleo 2004-10-24 03:45 PM

Yeah he should come over to my house so that I can personally give him my code. |pissleft|

GeorgeTH 2004-10-25 06:21 AM

Cleo - I hope you won't kill me - I copied your recip links for my TGP sites - shock-horror-just kidding-not really: I just liked the idea with the mouseover table cells - actually my new recip table shows hardly any resemblance...

But thanks for the idea (and some code) |roses|

That is what I like a nice small easy to fit recip.

So you really are asking people to use this recip then?

Opti 2004-10-25 08:22 AM

I'm not 100% sure if the last two posts were meant to be funny.. but they made me spit lime diet coke on the desk from laughing :)

urb 2004-10-25 08:59 AM

I dunno about kristian getting out more.... but when did they start making lime diet coke??

I had a bad coke addiction.. this stuff has saved my ass from getting wider than I am tall (hate all other diet drinks.. ala water)

I really don't know what your computer set-up is doing (must be a foul Apple) - this is what it looks loke on mine (online!) - not as big as on your's... WEIRD THINGS THESE APPLES!

That was in the Mac version of IE.

This is what it looks like in Safari which is the Mac's default browser

Haven't they developed any decent browsers for APPLES yet?

As I showed you: it works on PC with IE 6, Netscape 7, Modzilla Firefox, Modzilla 1.7.1, and I tested with Opera, too...
Your "safari" screenshot looks very much like my ancient Netscape 4.7 - that's like 8 years old...

I actually had wondered about your extra font tags in the link code (and didn't use them in mine) - now I know why...

Cleo 2004-10-25 09:44 AM

Safari is the same code base as the Linux browser Konqueror which uses the KHTML engine. It is extremely fast. My pages look pretty much the same in all browsers so I guess it is just a matter of how you code.
http://www.konqueror.org/features/browser.php

Actually Macs these days are not that much different from Linux other then Adobe and Microsoft programs work on them and the GUI is very pretty, oh and plug and play works extremely well.
