What are your favorite Richard Laymon books?

For any horror fans, Laymon is someone you either read, or should be reading. I began with him over 10 years ago when I was 14/15/ with books like the cellar and funland and the stake . I've just ordered one of his newer books, the lake .

For any horror fans who are unfamiliar with Laymon - and want a change from king, koontz, herbert, rice, little, and friends - you'll thank me for trying him out. He died on Feb14, 2001, but his body of work spans dozens of books.

What I like most about his stories is the unpretentious way he writes. These are horror stories, not literary works. Reading them is much like watching a good old video nasty; why none of his books have made it to the screen I will never know.

Anyway, my favorites, for anyone who wants to know :

Flesh
Funland
One Rainy Night
Resurrection Dreams
Body Rides
Beast House Books

I just realised all of his books, with the exception of quake and island, are my favorite. So, fuck it, which ones do you like? |jester|
