Link Admin - Who use that script?

I know Greenguy use it, any more link list owners using it? I'm sooooo tired of manually updating my linklist and the backlog getting bigger each day. Right now I get all submissions in my mailbox :( 5-6k submissions, don't worry guys I will add you, keep submitting.

So, who use that script?

Fonz 2004-11-03 10:51 AM

Just to name a few others.

mega-porn-links.com
smutgremlins.com
jays-xxx-links.com (I think :) )
smilingpussylinks.com
pornoplentyxxxlinks.com

.. and lots of others :)

Thats crazy and linkadmin is about the only way out to get into a LL script, add your links into the data base and add the tags on your pages and your links are there - And I feel real bad if you have a lot of links.. I had to add 500 by hand into the script when I got mine.. And also You'll loose your PR because the url will change for the pages.. but aleast you will have a good script to work with and the more you use it the more you will find out what it will do..

Good luck..

cool to see some other linklists using it. Plateman, why can't I have the old urls with linkadmin?

plateman 2004-11-03 03:34 PM

you can but the pages that linkadmin writes to has to be in a cgi folder - most name it links or whatever you want your index, main, and a few others can remain..

Greenguy 2004-11-03 03:39 PM

Plateman - I do believe you are mistaken aobut not being able to use the same pages, but let me get MML over to be sure :)

MrMaryLou 2004-11-03 03:44 PM

The script resides in the cgi-bin folder the link pages can be put in any directory the most common is /links/ but that is not set in stone at all here is a link to show ya a bit of how it works :) http://www.usefulscripts.com/scripts...ial/linkadmin/

Paparazzi 2004-11-03 04:33 PM

that's great! I currently have my categories like this:
domain.com/lesbian.htm
domain.com/teen.htm
etc and don't wanna loose my pr on those

MrMaryLou 2004-11-03 05:00 PM

Yes you can keep them but writing to the root is not a good thing

Paparazzi 2004-11-03 05:15 PM

why? btw do you work for usefulscripts or just being nice and have them in your sig?

plateman 2004-11-03 05:16 PM

An example of my url http://www.pornoplentyxxxlinks.com/links/anal.htm notice the /links/ that was the way I was told how to properly set up the script - I dont think it will work right having it write to the root.. Mrmarylou is the expert and I would do it the way he says

My index and main never went into the links or cgi folder..

plus If you make a new page, you upload the page to the links folder and then the script will recognize it then you take more steps from there to have the links live..

Greenguy 2004-11-03 05:33 PM

You can have your pages in the root, but it's never a wise idea security wise to write to files in the root (from what I'm told)

I just do the install orders :)

Paparazzi 2004-11-04 06:03 AM

you might have to do my install soon :)

Linkster 2004-11-04 07:21 AM

You dont have to use /links/ as the subcat - an example of one of mine:
http://www.link-porn.com/porn/lesbian.html

Its easy enough to set up once the install is done to have it go wherever you want
