Hoes.com Sponsor Stats For October

Hi,

I added several new sponsors last month that all made the list and most had a very impressive debut. I love to test out new sponsors from time to time. They have the ability to really surprise, typically because they are under-exposed. Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions/comments.

Hoes.com Sponsor Stats October 2004:

------------------------------------------------------

Here is what this is all about for those of you who haven't seen our thread before:

Because we advertise so many sites across so many niches using so many sponsors, the many webmasters who submit to us daily tend to ask who we recommend for reliability and conversion success.

Instead of just posting links to a few of our favorites, we decided to compile our stats from month to month and post them for all to see. Basically, we offer a ranking of the top 20 or so sponsors that converted for us during the month.

We plan to update this every month and hope that it helps a few of you to make an educated decision about which sponsors to advertise.

It's certainly interesting to see how some sponsors are performing for other people...

For several months I'd been wondering about my conversions with SunnyDollars, and now I find proof that they seem to be doing just as bad for others.

Seems about time that I pull my ads for Sunnydollars: September last year I had a ratio of ~1:180, this year anything between 1:1000 to 1:2000...

I actually think it's bad business to offer "Bonus Access" to all sites, the way SunnyDollars and SilverCash are doing - no future sales for webmasters relying on bookmarkers...

When I cleaned out my hd I found a few stats screenshots from 1999 - dream on: with CEN (trafficcash) back then I was on 1:12 with several of their top sites - ~1:60 overall

Nice!
Looks like, I have to sign up for one or two sponsors in that list. Thanks for the detailed stats. |shake|

You are absolutely right. Those bonus site programs are VERY popular with most of the big programs these days. They are deadly for conversions in the long run. The sponsors see a nice up front pop in signups when they release them, but they aren't looking down the road at the long term conversions. It is very short sighted.

I agree With the bonus sites being bad for long term, plus those big sponsors are getting over used and if you have a LL or tgp and want to keep your bookmarkers long term you know what to do.. also I am seeing unreal ratios on my LL.. And IMHO bad convert ratios are a product of bad traffic and/or bad LL or tpg management..

Not always: as you can see from Hoes' list (and as I can see in my own conversions) you can convert the same traffic well with one program, and not at all with another, despite both offering the same style of sites and appealing to the same niche surfer! So some blame has to be carried by the sponsor (and I won't go into accusations of shaving, no, I won't...)
