Trailer for the new Star Wars is out

I hated the first one but liked the second one. This looks pretty decent.

Yes, looks better. The storyline is flawed in episodes one to three due to there being no identifiable hero. Anakin is the primary protagonist but he is no conventional hero. Luke Skywalker, and his rise to Jedi Knight, make episodes 4 to 6 superior movies. I'm personally looking forward to the final 3 episodes where I believe we'll see a return to the original formula with the children of Luke and Lea.

I'm not a Star Wars geek, honest :D

The Bitch got me the box set for Christmas, but I made her give iot to me early :D So I watched 4-6 2 weeks ago while I was on the tread mill - Empire is still the best :)

They had a few bits of stuff on the next one in the extras & I am a Star Wars geek, so I'll of course watch it, but Hayden Christensen rubs me the wrong way for some reason - and not just these movies either - that one with the house, I hated him in that too.

That looks decent :)
That space fighting scene reminds me of some game I used to play.

Actually stories 7, 8, 9 have already been written and out in books since 1990. Timothy Zahn wrote them and they were VERY good. They are the fallow up story since this was approved by George Lucas to be done; he even told them in what direction to go to and had final approval on everything.
So if they ever make the movies, (which I doubt) it will be these 3 books...

I stopped reading them when they got "invaded" by a new race from outside the galaxy and Chewbacca was killed when... wait for it.... a moon landed on him....

Lucas wanted him killed to “prove” no one was going to live forever and he approved this way of dieing... I have heard this new series of the SW Galaxy getting it's ass kicked are best sellers but I refuse to read them since it got so stupid it lost its fun and stopped being interesting.

BTW, I loved the trailer! Too bad they wasted a movie trying to be so cutesy wutesy with the damn kid (he should not have gotten more then 30 mins and moved on to a teen) but since they did they should have made 3 at least a 3 hour movie... I want to see Vader do what they claim he has done... and that is total evil.

Yes friends and family are forever buying me these books. There are literally dozens. All of them are gathering dust in my library. I think I partly read one (Jedi Academy?) a long time ago and gave up because the writing was truly dreadful.

Books 7,8,9 were sanctioned to mislead. Lucas wrote the entire 350 page threatment (very long for a treatment) before shooting star wars. It soon became apparent he would not have the time nor the budget necessary for the entire story. He chose what became episode 4 because it was technically the easiest to shoot. The storyline of 7, 8, and 9 will reflect Lucas' initial treatment not the published novels.

Star Wars kicks ass :D

I like those books, Zahn is a pretty good author and does a good job. I've recently moved, so the books are all packed away somewhere, there's a couple of really good ones with General Thrawn. Can't remember the names, but I'll dig 'em out.

And now after reading this I feel like putting Empire on, so that's what I'm gonna do. My family are gonna be groaning in about5 minutes lol

'Dad, not Star Wars AGAIN' lol
