Anyone using Skype?
 

Well, today i bought a new headset for me (headphones+mic), and tried the Skype software. http://skype.com/ It is free, and so far beats the sound quality of any other P2P software.

I wonder, if anybody else actively use it?

It looks cool. Just checking out the link. We certainly need something to replace icq. The problem is that online communication mediums are a bit like currency : they only work if accepted by the majority. I'm sure if enough people used skype, it would be an improvement on icq (although so would two paper cups and a piece of string!). Let us know if you like it. :)

ICQ is still in the place, for written messages, but for voice - Skype gets my vote. it works good even on dial-up! |bananna|

Skype has probably saved me thousands of dollars on long distance so far since my partners are in England and Hungary. It sounds much better than my telephone, there's no walking associated with other voice software like ventrilo and I can carry on a group conversation with users all over the world.

I have it installed for ove ra week now.. but it's still pretty much just hanging there since there's only 1 person in my contactlist :)

skpe rocks! it's clear and better than yahoo voice chat.

I have used it a number of times but my husband read a bunch of stuff recently about concerns over its 'hackability' (to use a non-word) and I haven't used it since. I am sure I will in the future though.
