Where do you send your 404 traffic?
 

I have a buttload of 404 traffic and the place I was sending it to is now ironically 404.

Where do you send yours? I like to filter it please.

I have a categorised paysite review site that I send all my 404 traffic through... this works well for me as the traffic can either be directed to specific niches within the site, the main page with all categories and also gives the 404er the opportunity to click on any other category.

I do this through one page on one domain so that I can take advantage of any special deals that sponsors may be offering at the time. That way it is an easy and quick change for a few days.

I just send it all to my own paysite but before that I was sending it to different places depending on the source. Japanese traffic was going to a Japanese program and english was going to the tgp I used to own.

A categorized hub with tons of ads/free hosted galleries/etc.

Some 404 traffic actually doesn't result from errors as such, but from people poking around at your site (like they've found directory free1/index.htm and go looking for directory free2/index.html), etc.

I send mine to my own TGP.

Before I used to send it to a full page ad, which I changed from time to time...
You can also sell it to traffic brokers (~$2.50-4 per 1,000).
And a friend of mine started something called trafficbanking - where you can send surplus traffic to and get it back in bulk when you need it... Don't know if they're up and running yet.

I'm links DDave, but the little 404 traffic that I do have I usually just pump to a FPA or back to the index of LOR.

I have a mega amount of 404 traffic because people are looking for more free pics and videos so they're fishing around. It's not like I would just let bad links go. LOL

Um yeah I tried that. I was sending them over 2 gigs of B/W a day and their domain has been down for almost a week now and they didn't tell me. I had to find out on my own. So I lost a LOT of hits.

I agree! Mick Bake is a nice guy, and he seems to have some trouble to transform his good ideas into functional scripts (or him managing the scripts...?).

I re-started my trades with him, but despite several ICQs he never managed to send me a single hit from his new tgp, so finally I had to turn it off... That's Mick for you |smooch|

I send all my 404 traffic through a geo targeting script, so surfer sees a site in his own language. If i dont have a site in the surfers language i show him a english site
