New rule on PenisBot & WetPlace

Low and average quality pics and pics taken from video clips not allowed. Many sponsors provide video caps as picture conent, we won't accept such sites.

We have too many low quality submissons last months and decide to rise quality of accepting sites. We will decline low & average quality content not only according rule mentioned above.

I advise webmasters find small, good quality sponsor or niche, where they can find quality not overused content. No more pictures taken from nastydollars video caps.

Kit,

What about that list of sites that were submitted that i gave you?
Should I assume that those sites have been 86'd?

Don't give them any ideas...

I doubt any of the LLs that have this rule are going to search thru their listings to weed those old sites out. They just aren't going to accept new ones. Listings on link-o-rama will get pruned naturally since they expire after six months unless updated. D'oh. I've said too much.

I understand your point.... some of those sponsor vid caps are terrible. No one wants to look a a picture full of interlacing lines or blurring.

But what about those of us that take our own screen caps and put in extra work to get perfect shots without lines or bluring?

Some you can barely tell are screen caps..

That picture is excellent quality !! What program do you use to create that ?

kit 2004-11-15 02:25 AM

Rule don't applying to the already listed sites.

Also I added small changes to rule mentioned above:

Low and average quality pics taken from video caps not allowed. Many sponsors provide low-end video caps as picture conent, we won't accept such sites.

We don't prohibit video caps at all, only low & average quality. I know some sponsors providing very good promo videos & screenshots, for example Videosz, etc.
Outstanding quality video caps can be accepted.

PowerDVD... it's just a matter of going through frame by frame to find the perfect shot. And turning force bob on instead of force weave so that it deinterlaces the video.

stev0,

can this be done using photoshop?

Just tried it and it works a treat !! Just capture the frame you want and paste it into a new page in Photoshop

Btw guys what programs do you use to get hi quality screencaps of mpeg and avi videos ? I've used virtual dub in the past but it doesn't get the best quality caps I've found

Btw cheers for the info stev0 :)

And I even have powerdvd! Thanks stev0, that's the Tip of the month for mine. |greenguy|

I'm using Ver 4.0 and it does

*Edit: You might need a full version for reading all formats?

Yeah, i think they do... but remember the quality of your screen cap depends on your source. I do mine directly from DVD's.

If you're using an mpeg or avi at lower resolution you wont be able to achieve the same results. Some of my screen caps look exactly like photos, that one i posted isn't even one of the best. It's all about finding the right frame and putting some effort into it instead of using programs that take them automatically.

I change the options so it captures directly to a file... then i use smartsaver to convert the bmp's into jpg's.

*BUMP*
You around Kit?

kit 2004-11-24 02:45 AM

Possible your example acceptable, coze there is no another Mardi Gras content than average quality video. From the other side, I know many sponsors providing HUGE amount of such content and we have a risk to be stuffed with such public nudity video caps.

I don't accept sites personally and possible some editors can find your content acceptable, some not acceptable. It depends on quality of particular episodes.

Better don't use a low quality content as basical content on your sites, this is a short term strategy. Stronly subjected to editors opinion.

Ah, cool... as long as it doesnt get me banned im not too concerned :) Most of my party girl type content is just seeing the web for the first time now, it's not sponsor content... I bought some web licenses for full dvd releases.
