Windows XP blocking referrers

We have a couple of members who are experiencing problems accessing our plugins.

As the problem is suspected to be the Firewall settings in Windows XP Service Pack 2 blocking referrers, I was hoping that someone would be able to give me some simple* instructions for disabling that function.

*Simple enough for the average internet surfer to follow (although our members are female so dumbing down is not necessary ) :D

Does this sound right Deb?

After you install Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), some programs may seem not to work. By default, Windows Firewall is enabled and blocks unsolicited connections to your computer. This article discusses how to make an exception and enable a program to run by adding it to the list of exceptions. This procedure permits the program to work as it did before the service pack was installed.

not sure there is a simple way to explain... maybe go looking at some other sites that have posted some instructions to surfers on how to handle the problem.

*edit: This probably isnt the exact text you need... but I was researching a site for my daughter and ran across this browser help page the other day that was so good I thought I would bookmark it :)
