Huge Recip tables
Im in the process of gathering recips for my first round of submitting. Im noticing that quite a few link lists have fucking huge recip tables that are about 20 lines of html.
Do alot of LL owners get bitchy if you make your own custom recip tables to match your site? Something nice and clean and a good font size.. personlaly i think having 8-12 recips of these big UGLY tables with scrolling text in all different colors is horrible. from what ive been reading text links pull more clicks than banners.. alot of link lists recip tables are about as big as a fucking banner lol Porn is cool! |
My recip is already small and I really like it when it is left as is.

I like mine the way they are... although adjusting the width a tiny bit isn't a biggie. You don't lose much traffic thru recips anyway... most surfers are coming from a linklist already and pass over them and on to the rest of your site.

The only return links I really object to at this point are the ones that use marquees to scroll stuff, winking and blinking in the box. That is certainly on the fine line of being in bad taste.
Mine are stationary, 150 X 90, more or less in the middle of the pack... Alex |

I'll usually accept anything that I consider a decent recip but I do much prefer using my recip code as is since it is also about branding and not just having the link.

Thats fair.
What ill do it use the requested recips for the bigger sites and text link the little ones. Last thing i want to do is get rejected by the high traffic link lists. I dont care so much about the others =) Ok, im going to hijack my own thread and change the subject. next question is.. What is the most accepted way of making doorways for my free sites. I cant fit 100 link lists on one index.html Porn is Cool! |
On that last question Booty, I just make different folders place each set of recips in a different niche named folder along with the main and gallery htmls. That way each is a distinct site and sitting on it's own index page.
ex: http://mydomain.com/myneatsite/ http://mydomain.com/mydomain/myneatestsite http://mydomain.com/myveryneatestsite and so on. So far I haven't heard much bad about that method of mirroring. |
