BIG changes at CyberAge AVS!!

Just try logging in to one of your sites and you will see what I mean.....|pcsucks|

I am not happy about this.. and I would imagine many other webmasters may not be...

CA's response so far is here.. http://www.avsprograms.com/forum/ind...=ST&f=2&t=1015

Yeah man - I predicted that when visa started getting crazy on the chargebacks.

I figured the AVS people would be feeling the heat from the chargebacks.

That sucks man.

Slinx 2003-10-07 01:44 AM

CA had never listed my sites on their internal link list. Their rules were very strict in the past, too.

baddog 2003-10-07 02:33 AM

pretty amazing stuff . . . . I was looking to see that they had done something positive, not that.

NotThatKevin 2003-10-07 02:41 AM

DD that is so typical of CA |pissed|

Wazza 2003-10-07 02:53 AM

And of course we'll have to add "target="_parent" to each and every sponsor link now... how many places rule out linking within a frame in their terms...

A bit of consultation might have been in order before pulling the rug out from under our feet... |raygun|

Fonz 2003-10-07 03:37 AM

hmmm.. gonna save me some bandwith but gonna lose a lot of sponsor income...

Osiris 2003-10-07 03:41 AM

Exciting new changes my ass....

I'm definitely not happy with them removing my members area and linking galleries..

susanna 2003-10-07 07:42 AM

|bat|

here come the changes...

by the way anyone want to by an avs system

LMAO

Surfn 2003-10-07 07:47 AM

I saw this coming with CA |sad|

Nickname 2003-10-07 09:05 AM

Fucking not good, 1/3 of my income is from sponsor upsells on CA sites.....|pissed|

Cleo 2003-10-07 09:08 AM

It has been a few years since CyberAge went insane with their rules and made it all but impossible for me to build sites that would get listed on their list.

One more nail in their coffin…

Woe is me :(

EclectiXXX 2003-10-07 12:25 PM

It figures..... So GG you pulling everyone's CyberAge sites???

Would be nice if CyberAge heard that... *might* convice them to rethink their approach....

Greenguy 2003-10-07 02:23 PM

All Cyber Age links have been pulled from the Link O'Rama - including about 700 of my own sites - I'm thru with Cyber Age.

Cleo 2003-10-07 03:38 PM

After seeing how my content had been put in a frame and after giving this much thought I've also removed all CyberAge sites from my link list, removed their ads from my link list, remove their button from my sig, and made a No Cyberage rule to my submit page.

If someone wants to fuck me I appreciate being asked if I would like to get fucked first. |angry|

This cant be good for CyberAge, and they had it comming to them! Im loosing big money on this......and so will CA.....

LilBiggz 2003-10-07 05:27 PM

I've only got a handful of Avs sites and have put all my new ones on hold until the whole Avs scene chills out. It sounds like it hit some of ya's pretty hard., I would have to |goodnight someone if I had 700 that went to hell.

Everyone wants less free porn on the web, but if you try to password protect it - watch out cuz they are gonna fuck ya !!!

Doesn't make a whole lot of fucking sense.

DangerDave 2003-10-07 06:07 PM

I am in the middle of moving house.. but once settled... I will be doing the same.. NO CA sites listed and current ones removed.

These changes and those that are coming may mean the end of www.theavslist.com as well..:(

DD

Greenguy 2003-10-07 06:17 PM

DDave - same goes for MML & my http://www.avsindex.com :(

Cleo 2003-10-07 06:20 PM

Look at it this way, this just means more traffic to send someplace else.

Linkster 2003-10-07 06:43 PM

Pulling all the CA sites on mine tonight as well - and no more AVS links will soon be the norm - unless someone gets some frigging brains and figures out a better way

aeon 2003-10-07 06:53 PM

just a heads up...when I try to go to www.link-o-rama.com I get redirected to massearch.com....

I've run ad aware and AVG anti-virus...both came up clean - searched the web and found nothin about it too - might be something on your end...

Happens with persiankitty.com as well...

best of luck -
aeon
