Noob here saying hey and need input
 

hey all , Ive been reading here for a bit but havent said hey yet, so yeah, hey. Anyways im working on my third site right now and figured before I submit it I should get some input from the Pros.

Hi and welcome to the board here. You're sure to get a lot of great information and help here. As far as your site goes, it looks good overall, but you're giving away 60 pics. That's way too many imo. You should go for 2 galleries, 20-30 pics total.

You could make 3 freesites with 60 pics. :)

Alright, so I decided to make it into 2 sites, was to lazy for 3, next time I get lots of content ill make them 20 pic sites |jester| another question I was wonder should I change the second pages layout and scheme for link lists so that they dont think its the same site and reject it?

Both those sites look pretty good.. but a small prob that will stop them getting listed, is the size of the pics...

All are 1024 long side and most are around/over 100K

Minimum required is 500 longside - so IMO you should aim for 550-700. Reducing the dimensions of thepics should also reduce their K size.. where you should aim for < 60K each

Remember a large part of the net is still on dialup, and you dont want to give them "too much" quality..:)

Alright, changed em all to 600 on the long, but for the rest of the content that I use to make the second page should I change the layout and colors.

Also thanks so much for the help, I thought that it was better to have larger images, plus now ill save on some bandwidth |bananna|

I think the pages are a bit "long" but I dont think anything is actually "wrong" with the site..

This might just be a nit pick of mine... but on your 2nd site I would reject because you have to scroll to see the links to the gallery. I usually approve if I can see one gallery link without having to scroll, (as long as it's not teeny tiny print), but when both are out of sight, I decline. Not sure if that would be a problem with anyone else tho'

Thanks, you might be right, I didn't even think about that, I fixed it now, I dont want to get declined by any link lists |sad| Im starting to go a little batty trying to get a few sites up and then i will be a couple days ahead and i can get some sleep! |zzzzzzzzz
