A good way to have a heart attack

I’ve been having a higher amount of stress for the past 3 weeks with a new script and lots of BS bugs etc, so today I am trying to chill some and I turned the TV in the office to the “Music Choice” channel of “Soundscapes” which plays new age music like Enya and Yanni and Clannad.

So I am at my desk working, feeling pretty chilled, the TV directly behind is up a little louder then what I normally have it at and out of the blue the cable network does its weekly “severe weather test” and BLARES a siren on the TV…. Talk about jumping out of my seat.

That really is not a good way to do a test like that on that station with out a word of warning….

That's why it's a test, dumb ass.

Did they tell you about the fire drills in elementary school? :D

HAHAHA that shit happens to me, but usually I have my headphones on and someone walks up behind me and scares the shit out of me :)

When cops are running low on cash they set up speed traps. When ambulance companies are running low on cash they run tests of the emergency broadcasting system on new age radio stations :)

Gah! The local cable co. loves to run those bloody tests around 1:30 - 2:00 am on Sundays (well, Monday mornings). ON THE FRIKKIN' MOVIE CHANNELS. Sunday is the day Venturi and I take off to chill and stay up all night watching movies. Missing five to ten minutes of dialogue because they're testing the TESTING system makes my blood boil. That's right - they're not actual tests - they're tests of the testing system. Go figure...
