Submitting to GreenGuy
 

Hi I have been trying to submit a site to the Green Guy and every time the form seems to get stuck or hang. Are you guys having problems ? The site was successfully submitted to other major link lists and accepted so I do not think it is a technical issue with the site. The submission form comes back with "Page cannot be displayed" Please advise thnx

It's an ongoing problem that a couple others are having as well, but wee can't figure out what it is (because the form works 99% pf the time)

Closest we can guess is that it's a router or something causing a delay when the script does it's lookup stuff on your site (verifying the site exists, checking for recip, etc)

Some people have had luck submitting at different hours of the day as well as trying over & over & over :)

I was unable to submit for 4 or 5 months straight and now I'm not having any problems at all anymore, so I would say "keep trying" :)

I haven't had a problem submitting to link-o-rama for a while... I remember a few months back i'd get that 404 error, but everything has gone smooth lately.

When I'm on the road and do my submitting I get that same error on GG and on others who run their link list with Link Admin. I could never figure it out myself. Now I wait and just submit to those LL when I get back home!

You guys are so funny, we run a marketing business here. We have been in mainstream internet for over 10 years but only in Adult marketing for several months now :) We cannot submit each day for 3 months because of problems with someone else's server, software or routers. That is kind of ridiculous. We are not having problems submitting elsewhere

Then take me off your submit list - I really don't know what else to tell you.

Sometimes when I submit to other LL's I get an error saying I cannot use a proxy server... I don't use a proxy server, but I've got a router and im guessing because I have different internal & external IP's it probably mistakes it as a proxy.

Our internal and external IP's are the same, we do however have firewall security, so maybe the submit form is trying to go through an unauthorized port it should not be ???

We have tried from 3 different physical locations at all different times of the day, including after 12:00 midnight pacific. Is there anyway you will accept an email submission ?

Your really putting too much into this when this happens it normaly a router just keep trying once an day and no LOR dont take submits by email

It's not you personally, it's a router on the to your server - or possibly the server itself is not responding in the alloted time before mine site give you a no dns error message.
