Finally saw The Polar Express

My wife called it magical :) It was a really good Christmas movie :)

Greenguy 2004-12-11 07:55 PM

What are you? 12?

I feel sorry for people that can't enjoy a good Christmas movie because of their age.

Greenguy 2004-12-12 12:19 AM

Was it a double feature with the Sponge Bob Square Pants movie?

I agree. Looking forward to taking the kids to this one. However, i think it also applies to books, such as Harry Potter :D

I don't take it as harsh. I think of it a little more of being uninformed :) Not only was the story as good as the book but, the animation has never been attempted before. And, I have really never seen animation quite as beautiful. They also have it in 3D in imax theaters but, we have none around us.

i like the movie, my niece and cousins are really enjoying it.

Greenguy 2004-12-13 10:44 AM

You read the book too?

I wonder if there's a book for that cool Shrek movie too :D

satinchristy 2004-12-13 12:37 PM

I thought the book "Shrek" was much better than the movie.

Thanks Jim for the info. I was just considering going to see that. I'm kind of over Mr. Christmas, Tim Allen.

My 3 kids loved it.

They still beleive in Santa so they took it as an insight on the north pole.

Jim 2004-12-13 06:13 PM

The kids were the best part in the theater. We could hear them say, "That's his workshop" when they showed it. And, they all gasped when they first showed Santa Claus. They really added to the experience :)

Angel,

How old are your kids? I was thinking of taking my 7, 5 and 3 yr. olds to see this. Was wondering if they'd site through it. I know I want to see it. |santa|

Oh yeah - that's what I want to do...sit in a theater full of kids talking & crying & drooling on each other.

That's part of the reason I rarely go to the movies - I can't stand people :D

Your kids are sure old enough to enjoy it
My daughter is 11 and I have 2 boys of 10 and 7 years old. In the theatre there were kids of 3 to 12 yo and they all enjoyed it (from the comments that were flying around during the movie). I live in Spain and people talk alot during films here. Its pretty fun!

Polar Express is a good movie...seen some part of it and looks good so i wouldn't mind seeing it on the big screen.
