Who would list this site?

Hello guys,

First I want to say Hi to everybody and wish them a great biz day today!

Now, I have a question about a free site I created and I was wondering how would you rate it. I'm planning to continue creating sites in that style, the question is do you think it's good, bad, terrible, horrible or it must be killed once every 3 days in the next 30 years :) Whatever it is I can try and live with it :)

Overall I think it looks good (nice clean design, good layout), but you've got a couple issues to deal with.

1. Too many links out on the gallery pages. Max is 3, you've got 5. You could easily get around that by including the text with the banner inside one ahref tag.

2. The links at the bottom of your galleries would be considered blind by many...it's important to add "at sponsorsite.com" so the surfer knows where they're going if they click the link.

3. I don't know how many LL owners would be fond of the way you've got your recips set up. While they don't have to be huge, and many of us will allow text links in place of the approved recip tables, we use our recips for branding as well. I'm sure you'll get some more opinions on that one.

4. Your whole site is centered but the warning page isn't. To keep things flowing smoothly get the warning page centered.

Take care of those issues and I'd list it. (#4 isn't really a big deal)

OK, this was taken care of.

The bad thing in the industrie is that many of the webmasters are total screw ups when it comes to details. I understand the need of having some exact HTML, but I seen things lately that suck so bad I can't figure out where to put them. Of course there're LL that have nice banners, which can be easaly used, without screwing up the layout, but from the 150 LL that I browsed today I'll that these're about 10%. I hope that you won't find this offensive, because I know how people work hard to increase their traffic numbers, but somebody should think about the layout sometimes.

That was made for a reason. The page header is different from the one on the inner pages, which ended in aligning left the warning page.

Thank you for the tips.

You should put an ad on your warning page... that's where a good portion of the clicks through to your sponsor will come from.

Gallery links show up really small for me, but im runing 1200something resolution so they might look big enough for most people.

Somebody else? |attention

Not that it would keep you from being listed but I think the image on the warning is to big. Especially seeing it does not make you money.

I know what you're talking about, but this is "The nice site". First of it's kind (for me). Gonna try cominging better and better mixing marketing and vision.

WTF is that toplist link you've got on your main page? That's stepping over the line imo... not that you've got a toplist link - but what the toplist is... I'd piss it off quick smart

ClickBuster 2004-12-14 11:46 AM

Would that be a problem if I've put this on the index? I don't really think so. As I know, everybody wants a link on the index, so this was put out of there and this reduces the outgoing links on the index, which I thinks i better for the the page PR (no matter how small the number is), which increases the the PR of the LL I put there.

What exactly is the problem with that "vote for this site" link? Give me a good reason and I will remove it in 2 secs, now you're just scaring the shit out of me.

ClickBuster 2004-12-14 11:51 AM

Damn! I'm fucking brainless. I'm removing that shit from the page.

Couple of things from me :)

The 2257 link isn't meant for surfers, move it to the bottom.
I don't see any sponsor links on your index page. You've got 3 to use, use them.
And the recips, I don't really like them.

When I was skimming through the site to get to the pics, nothing drew my attention except the thumbs and the gallery links (for some reason the gallery link pics loaded before the top banner).
When people have found the gallery links. On a 800x600, the only thing I see is.... the gallery links. No ads. So to me both the index and main page is wasted.
