How much should I submit?
Can you tell me what is know to be a good number of LL to submit to? And also, how much uniques per day will you expect from such submission?
Also can somebody give me an example of a MAX, MIN and AVARAGE ratio from Free site traffic => paysite (that means, from the uniques that came to your site, how many continued to the paysite tour)? I'm really appreciating any statistics, cuz I'm very frustrated from thinking how bad am I doing. Thanks |
There seems to be two schools on who how many to submit to. One is to submit to everybody you can with doorways. And the other is to submit to the best ones on one page.
Everything is pretty much trial and error in the beginning. Just need to keep trying and it will work out in time. |
doorway meaning? A second index page?
|
"doorway" is actually an incorrect term..
'mirror' or 'mirrored entrance' would be more accurate.. and yes Mandy that means a 2nd "index-type" page DD |
Mandimorgan - we are going to have to hold your hand, aren't we :D
I haven;t used this practice in a long time, but that's not to say it's not still done on a daily basis. Let's say you want to submit your free site to 60 Link Lists. Link Lists do not want to see a warning page with 60 recips on it, so you might build 5 warning pages with 12 recips on each & use those as the URL's you submit to the link lists. There's a lot of catches - some Link Lists only want to list index.html pages, so naming them warning.html & submitting might get you declined. Some Link Lists do not like seeing their recip on index057.html, so using numbers is not a good idea in most cases. I can go on & on, but I think that will get you pointed in the right direction :) |
Great guys, but can somebody please answer my qustion? :)
|
Oops - sorry about that :)
I only submit to 12-16 Link Lists when I build a Free Site - I was never into the making of doorway or mirror pages. As far as how much traffic, that's kinda hard to nail down - you have to take into account the Link List you submitted to, the category that you got listed on & if it's a popular one or not on their link list. I rarely look to see how much traffic comes in after it's listed (I just make sure it got listed & if not, find out how to correct it) And I have no data on how many visitors actually click on banners, but I think there are a few threads on here where people did their own tests & posted the results. |

Thanks again! |
My first site I submitted to about 8 LL's and got maybe 50 clicks to sponsors. My second site I submitted to 50+ LL's, and got about 300 clicks to sponsors. My third, I submitted to 150+ LL's and got about 2000 clicks to sponsors. I haven't submitted to a few major LL's yet that require 30+ pics (like Persian Kitty) or Danger Dave's (help, can't figure out how to register :p).
Problem for me is submitting to a bunch of LL's takes hours (I don't use static recip tables). I guess it's better to just focus on building and submitting at least 1 site a day, and then submit to as many LL's as you have time for. |

I used to submit to 120+ LL at the beggining but now I'm down to 24 - I prefer to spend more time building a site than submit to many LL. I have learned a lot this way and get much more signups now. I also started to count signup/free site instead signup/clicks. I belive it's much more reliable as many sponsors count clicks other way - my goal is to get 1 SU per free site and I'm pretty close to this goal already. Unfortunetaly there are sites that give me 3 SU and the ones that give 0.. |
Thanks for checking it out for me. I really appreaciate the advice, I'm gonna leave it as it is and move on to my next (smaller) one.
