Link List on Free Site Domain?

OK, do you think it is a good idea to take my freesite domain (of course continue to use it for freesites), but put up a new link list on the root of it? How many have done that and is it beneficial due to people going to the root? Right now I keep all my stuff seperate but wondering if I am missing out on extra traffic by doing something like this or if I should start putting my freesites on the same domain as my existing link list?

It depends what your goals are.

Some people will go to the root, just to see what's there.
So if you put a LL with just your own sites, you will feed some extra traffic to your own sites.
If you put a "regular" LL on it, you will feed it with some extra traffic.

Yes the root is already a hub with my current sites on it , I was more or less curious how many people took a domain built up a bunch of traffic with freesites on it, then through a new link list up on it instead of keeping it a hub.

It's a good way to get a new link list off the ground.

Surfers always go to the root so sure it's a good idea.

I dont see anything wrong with doing that. I usually put up some page on the root that links to the freesites on that domain, with lots of ads for the surfer :P

I have TGPs at the root of two of the domains I use for free sites. I've others I haven't developed yet, so I just place a copy of one of my free sites at the root.
