How to Prevent Ad Blocking ?!
Hey All.
recently i came across some heavy issue that i believe making us all loose lots of money ! to many internet surfers these days using Firewall's usually they have Ad Blocking build in ! Some Anti Virus and Popup Blocking Soft also Block all Ads so when surfers finally gets to our sites he don't see any banners and we loose sales does anyone knows how to fight it ? contact: webmaster at onlybestsex.com icq:153547093 http://iqcash.com |
Some of it is quite sophisticated and I'm not sure how to beat it all. Can't help you with pop-ups either. But as far as banner ads go, try this. Don't use 'ban' or 'banner' in the name of any graphic. Also don't use those terms in the name of the directory where your ads will be stored. Try and use the newer odd shaped banners. Some of the software out there automatically blocks any graphic which is standard ad size (468x). Name your banners with keyword relevant terms, which you should do anyway. So if you're building a MILF page, your ad graphics could be named 'hot_mom.gif', 'milf_fucking', and so on.

Don't name your banners "banner" or use "ad" in any of your files. That includes phpadsnew.
You may also find that Google AdSense text links are not displayed too. Don't rely on standard sized banners like 468x60. Better to use something odd sized. Then test your sites with all the privacy and firewall settings switched on. |
Use text links

well i mostly do use text links otherwise i would go broke |rasta|
it doesnt matter how you name your images all standart banner size's are blocked and i've heard of some ad blocking software that also block links contact: webmaster at onlybestsex.com icq:153547093 http://iqcash.com |
My recommendation is purchase a copy of the ad blocking software that concerns you the most, turn it on and review your sites every now and then. I don't use standard size banners, I always use good text links and I'm careful about my directory structure and when testing 100s of my own sites I don't have issues.

I have my firewall on right now, but I have the settings turned to where it displays all images and everything. If I turn the settings on to block ads, all it really does is block animated gif's and banners with cookie tracking software etc and pop up ads
How can you fight it? Well, there isn't much you can do except just create more text links and if you do have pop ups I would suggest only using one. If pop up hell starts on your site, I garauntee the surfer will turn on his firewall settings to high. |
well i dont use popups as i hate them myself :)
i talked to some adult sponsor companies and one of them succeseded to preven blocking from SP2 :) i will have to wait until they decide to release it to me ! |
linking your ads to a page on your server
that has a meta refreash or redirect to the sponsor would help also |

I like flash ads. They aren't blocked, look nice, and are more eye catching.
