Half-day for me today I guess - my oldest step-daughter will be here to do the gift thing around 2 or 3 & then we're off to my Mom's for dinner & football.

Then we'll be exchanging gifts with the kids & each other tonight because since there's no more Santa, we like to get this stuff out of the way the day before so everyone can sleep in :D

Maybe I should make my house ugly again and put my old kitchen and dirty carpets back in. :D

Oh yeah I have a kitchen sink now. Just one problem. The POS expensive Blanco faucet that I bought came with a defective cartridge so it leaks from around the handle. Being as I just want a faucet I tried to buy a cartridge but no one seems to carry parts for this brand locally. I really don't want to send it back and wait a few weeks for a new one. Going to make some phone calls this morning to see if I can find someone that carries parts for Blanco faucets.

Granite people are coming back at noon to finish installing the back splashes and upper counters and then my Russian friend is cooking us all dinner.

Finally watched Sherk2 last night and loved it. :)

I remember (yeah yeah, parents told me, I don't like to remember my childhood or lack thereof) that when I was young, I couldn't sleep on Christmas Eve, and would wake up super-early on Christmas morning to open presents.

Does the anticipation of opening the gifts on Christmas Eve just move your kid's expectations and sleep deprivation to Christmas Eve's Eve?

Ahh... the good old NBC (night before christmas). It's my favorite day because I run around like an idiot, get things done, sorted, panic, oh no, get one of those, who is left, did I miss anyone... oh, it's 5PM. TOO BAD. The stores are closed. You lose! :-)

Seriously, I love the hustle and bustle of last minute shopping, and I really have always gotten a kick out of the whole process. Best part is seeing the look on my neice's faces when they open up all the gifts tomorrow... It's quite a kewl feeling.

Merry Chistmas to all... may Santa be generous and bring you exactly what you wanted (even if that was socks and a wierd colored tie).
