A question about warning page
 

Hi...

I started out with a linklist 2 months ago and i was wondering why some linklists have a warning page and some don't. l-o-r has one, penisbot doesn't... well i know penisbot doesn't have any porn banners or images on its site but it still doesn't have any kinda warning on its site, wetplace has that warning.

I have a small text warning visible on the top of my index page and little warning at the bottom, i don't have any images depicting sex acts on the index page, is that okie ??

I think its personal choice - some of us have both hardcore and a warning on the index page - some are not comfortable with it - same as some LLs require that you not use hardcore banners on your free site warning pages :)

I use a warning page on all of my sites. It's called due diligence. It shows you have made an attempt at warning away those who do not belong on your site or those who would be offended by your content. It may be a feeble attempt, but it's pretty much the industry standard. I also register my adult domains with http://www.icra.org and use their meta tag so that my pages get caught in parental filters. Plus this one: As long as we openly provide material which could be interpreted as obscene by some, no matter how much others enjoy it, we walk the legal tightrope.

Mine and my alcoholic attorney's exact feeling was to add the warning pages and ICRA tags on all sites, we figured it it would give us a better chance of not being that low hanging fruit if the Feds wanted to crackdown on adult sites.

It is always better to use a warning page with only softcore promotion material, just in case.... |satan|

pcum - if you want to be safe, then yes. But not all Link Lists care if you use hardcore ads & whatnot on the warning page, so if you did want to use some, read the rules 1st :)

I use a Warning page on just about all of my stuff.
