Any experience: gallery content according to season?

Being at the 'wrong end of the world' isn't easy in some respect... When the adult biz is buzzing it's summer down-under, longer days, hot and humid*, just right to go to the beach - instead I'm supposed to be working the most. Then comes 'our' winter, everthing's slows down due to summer vacations up north - yet I have nothing much to do but build galleries...

Anyhow: where I live we're not having much of a winter (except longer and colder nights), so I'm having a real problem thinking in Northern Hemispere terms, which brings me to the question:

Has anybody ever noticed if gallery content should be related to the season?
Like showing more in-doors pictures in winter, and green sunny outdoor scenes during summer, makes any difference to sales?

Is it bad for sales to use outdoors content during the colder months? (Neglect the obvious flashing in the snow...)

Or can you stimulate peoples phantasies and desires even more by showing them in winter a beautiful nude on a tropical beach?

Does it bring out the credit card? Or a just feeling of envy?

This is a serious question!

* not for the last week... :(

hmm

no experience with that, but its an interesting idea. i personally think it would be more stimulating to see a beautiful girl on a tropical beach when im crammed in my house and its freezing outside, give more of a fantasy feeling to it, once you get a surfers fantasy going they can be almost like putty in your hands :)

it would be an interesting poll to put ona linklist or tgp for visitors to vote on, id be very interested in the results.

Sometimes I see a little more traffic around specific holidays. People looking for girls in XXXmas costumes around Christmas, lingerie around Valentines.

Seasonal though, good question! Although, personally I generally have a nice beach scene as my wallpaper.

I used to put up Xmas stuff, but I usually forget & remember right before whatever Holiday is coming up that I should have made some galleries & free sites :(

yeah, same here... and the one time i did do a christmas set, only 20% of the linklists had it listed before christmas, and for the next several weeks it was getting listed at other places, but it was passed christmas so i never bothered doing a holiday set after that :P

You definitely have to time your listings right with themed pages! bette to get them listed early than late for a holiday so know where your submitting and plan ahead. I`ve done pretty good running bikini stuff in spring and early summer when it gets more on peoples minds. That can hold true for other "seasonal" niches too. Like coeds, sheerleaders, sporty babes etc. If it`s convenient to do so for you then the extra few clicks could be worth it at these times. Any little bit helps!

George..we have often wondered the same thing. I have a couple of awesome sets of some of my cam girls i really want to use ..1 is gardening and the other is frolicking on the beach. I was thinking of using something like Chasing away the Winter blues.. but then not everyone is in winter right now.

That would be a really good poll for a blogsite or review site to run as well and hopefully they would share it.

As far as holiday content.. we submitted our XXXmas stuff in Late october to someplaces that take 30-45 days to list.. working on Valentines right now and i think we are too late for some of them |rasta|
