I am selling stuff :)

As much as I would love to keep all my toys and such, I guess going from 63 acres to a 10x20 foot yard, I guess I have to get rid of a few things. Sucks...just wanted to vent :)

Jim 2005-01-16 05:06 PM

Not really crying about it, I guess. I am getting rid of my tractor that I used to mow the lawn...that is good to see go. Getting rid of a couple of ATVs that I really stopped using after the 1st year. And a camper that I used once. Probably a lot more when I think about it more.

stuveltje 2005-01-16 05:11 PM

You got a snow blower laying around there? |couch|

Cleo 2005-01-16 08:19 PM

I'll take those 63 acres if you are giving things away. |jester|

Jim 2005-01-16 09:44 PM

I will need the snowblower. I am going to get rid of my truck and plow since I won't need them anymore.

ngb1959 2005-01-16 09:50 PM

Sounds like you're going from the country to the city.

Reverse Green Acres.

BOTH?

Jim 2005-01-17 09:21 AM

One is no good to me without the other. I bought the truck and plow to plow my driveway. Now, I could do it with a shovel or snowblower...easily.

Cleo 2005-01-17 09:21 AM

What am I missing here?

You are moving from a big house on 63 acres to a much smaller old house with the remains of slaves in it???

Why?

T Pat 2005-01-17 09:30 AM

|zzzzzzzzz I hate to admit this Jim but I have actually spent time pondering your move.

What I don't understand is: who is going to pump out your basement when the snow starts melting

If the house is still mine, I might still take care of it. But, I doubt it :) I don't want to heat it anymore, I don't want to pay for electric anymore and I after I am finished moving, I don't want to see it anymore. Right now, a huge electric pump runs non-stop keeping the basement dry. As soon as I turn off the electricity, it will fill quickly.

Useless 2005-01-17 09:51 AM

I think you should give the house away in a random member contest before it floats away. Or, just give it to whoever is willing to make the move. Or, just give to me. I'm both random and willing.

Aren't there still Mohigans with tomahawks hiding in the hills out there?

Jim 2005-01-17 10:02 AM

Anyone can have it if they are willing to make $1800/month payments for a house that is falling apart :)

Jim does the 63 acres come with it? :-)

Alex

Jim 2005-01-17 04:24 PM

Nope...7 acres. I am keeping the rest for logging.

Tommy 2005-01-17 04:35 PM

Logging ????

Cleo 2005-01-17 04:37 PM

OMG now I have this image of Jim singing the Lumberjack song from Monty Python.

Tommy 2005-01-17 04:45 PM

what kind of logging do you do

I mean is there like a river and you run over the logs freeing up the jams ? |jester|

do you cut the trees yourself ?

do you wear one of those heavy plaid shirts?

maybe he ment lodgeing

Greenguy 2005-01-17 04:50 PM

Tommy - if you lived near some trees, you'd know that you can have companies come in & pay you for the trees on your property, depending on the type of tree & whatnot.
