Ads that make noise
 

Am I the only one that sees bringing unrequested noise to my computer as totally unacceptable? There’s this banner from a certain sponsor that looked interesting so I was going to check it out. As soon as my cursor was over the damn thing music started playing and it just pissed me off.

Whenever I check out an affiliate program and I get bombarded by sound and music I leave immediately. Obviously when I was going to check out this particular ad I decided not to check it out, made a mental note of the affiliate and will make every effort to avoid them.

Does the noise in the ad really work or are there more people like me and it’s a loosing business?

Once I see a banner makes noise I do everything possible to avoid clicking on it or go anywhere near it. :(

Wasn't there a program a few years back that was all audio ads ? Man I remember how bad those were :(
