o.k. - I had it with little TGPs and quirky rules!
I don't really mind jumping through hoops if there's a "reward" worth doing it for - but all these little TGPs who think they're God (upon themselves) will be deleted from my submit list by the end of the month if they hussle me with things like:
· odd size thumbnails nobody else is using; I don't mind to make an extra thumb of 105x130 pixels if I get some traffic for doing so! · pester me with confirmation emails despite me having a password - didn't you sending the password to my email confirm that it's a legit address? · have 'submit codes' where despite straining my eyes I can't decipher individual characters in the graphic! · tell me my server is too slow if just before (and after) Comus scripts told me my page is loading in around 130ms - if you run a site on a $4.95 hosting plan then don't blame my server! · have an odd length description and don't tell me on the submission form, instead send me back with an error. I don't mind to write a 23 character description for you if I know about it! My RoboForm is usually set to a 29 or 30 character descriptions, which is a widely accepted standard. · you gave me a script generated password, despite me asking for my personal pwd, and I know your script allows for custom passwords (AGP! and Comus works fine w/o entering pwd every time!) · you don't know how to run your site, script, trades, and then burden everything on me! Make your site submitter friendly or use sponsor hosted galleries, but don't beg me to submit and then annoy me every submission I try! If one or more of the above apply to your site and you can't send me at least 2,000 uniques/month then I will delete you from my submit list! I don't care if the 2,000 come from one listing or five, and I don't think 2,000 is asking much... Otherwise I'm wasting my time and I have better things to do |peace| |

This is my fiance' Defiant's pet peeve. So much so that he has made an award page for those TGP's that go above and beyond the ridiculous. You can see it here

Have you ever checked your own rules page? There's no way in hell I would bother reading through all of that.

My partner page is now rather simple, not even a single graphic on there to slow down its loading: http://picxs.com/cgi-bin/agp/submit.cgi - and I have tried to make some things easier, like I added a character count to the description. I don't bother people with a 'passphrase' (most autosubmitters can handle them anyhow) and no confirmation code... Anyhow - if you're such a lazy ass you don't have to bother |headbang| The sites are only back up for ~3 months, before that I had a long break which means overall traffic to my site(s) is low = not much to feed... |

At least you can reload the page as often as you like without loosing your other information; some sites you end up with an empty form. |

Why do you think those very common rules are anal? I really find that troubling. Is expecting clean pages anal? Do you think that if a TGP can't send 10k to the galleries that you should be able to do whatever you want? Lesser traffic TGPs keep a tight ship to please their surfers and to keep them coming back. If they accepted any old piece of shit gallery, their traffic would never increase. |

Microsoft uses a graphic passphrase image too.. I went to download their spyware beta and it's automated thing that checks if my windows is authentic wouldnt work, so I "chose another method" and one of the methods required that I type in a pass phrase.. the graphic was so whacked that I really couldnt read anything on it, so I went and downloaded several other spyware/scumware watchers instead.
