How many lls do you submit to...

I know this has been talked about before here, but I really dont know what school to use.

Right now i´ve started submitting to about 120-150 ll, 12 recips on each page giving me about 12 duplicate directorys/sites, and I know the se´s will hate me for that.

But im think of doing 1-2 or two directorys/sites instead, better for se´s and take less time.

Some input plz

I don't know if this helps or not, but I've just done the exact thing you've decribed.

I submitted to ~100 LL's for a few months and figured out which ones send me traffic, and now I've got it down to 1 page with 12-15 LL recips.

It's another example of 10% of the LL's will send you 90% of your traffic. I gave up on that extra bit of traffic because of the extra hassle of mirror sites....and as you say it probably doesn't help our cause with the SE's.

JK's Porn has just institued a new rule that says no more mirror sites will be allowed for this very reason (duplicate content on the SE's). Something to think about.

12 - 14 on the regular list, plus another 12 - 14 on secondary lists, and another 20 on the "once in a while" list. Some specific categories get submitted to different places.

Some sites give volume, some sites give less... it is important to figure out who gives you loing term sales for your sites.

When ever I get around to submit, I submit to ~50.

SmithsMedia 2005-01-24 07:57 PM

been around 50 for a while though I'm looking for new sources. Its not easy and I figure I am about to try 150 to find the 10% which work for me.

ponygirl 2005-01-24 08:54 PM

I have done the same as many...started with about 100, pared it down to 1/2 that on 4 pages...

I have seen the new rule at JK's and am a bit confused tho...I put all my "mirrors" in a different folder which contains all the HTML for the pages (index, main, gal1 gal2) and the pics are in the folder up so I end up like this:
mysite.com/niche/descr/site1/index.html
mysite.com/niche/descr/site2/index.html
pics are
mysite.com/niche/descr/pics

so everyone gets a true index page

I think this is pretty common, isn't it? so basically I will not be able to submit to JKs using this anymore - how would a submitter then be able to do more than 1 submit table if you can no longer use mirrors at all??

is there another way of doing this?

thx for any input!

36 but I'm planning on getting that number down to 24

grzepa 2005-01-25 05:36 AM

Around 50 here.

pguru 2005-01-25 06:57 AM

looks like to start with the "big LL Submit List" then after a few months slowly start to cut down on the submissions, and submit to the ones sending you some decent traffic, its a good way doing this.

I´ve seen some guys use their own recips like these two examples:
http://www.freepornstarbabes.com/onlyadream/
http://www.alis-porn.com/suckingfuckingblonde/

Is that ok with the LL reviewers?
What´s your experience about this?

ngb1959 2005-01-25 07:31 AM

I look at my server stats and see who is sending me traffic and that is who I submit to.

I am using link dumps now too.

Increased traffic and increased sales.

I'm not doing mirrored sites any more. Too much hassle and now results.

I personally feel you should submit to the number you are comfortable with... given your time and your expectations.

Some people submit to 12 - 14 of well known lists that provide a good traffic source and good listings for PR (or in DD's case 6 - but I am sure that isnt the norm)

Other's submit to 100's looking for as much traffic as they can... but this can take hours of time and may not produce the results that you expect.

Other go midway and submit to around 50... the big traffic dudes... and the slighty lesser sites that will keep them listed forever and send consistent hits, and possibly be a good consistent PR link for you.

As I said I really do think you need to analyse your expectations and time... everyone is different

Pendo 2005-01-25 04:03 PM

I submit to 24, 12 on each page

Wolly 2005-01-25 04:34 PM

i submit to 90-100.

msanchez 2005-01-25 07:40 PM

for me it fluctuates. Started at about 36 then grew to 100+ then back down to about 50 or so and recently I have been adding sites so Im up at around 90.

most all of those 90 send atleast a little bit of traffic, and I do get sales from the less traffic LLs so seems like its worth it to me.

But really ya just have to find what works for you and what your doing.

Cheers

Same here, sort of, although I think about 60 was my highest number. I'm at 32 right now. I may bump that up to try some new lists or re-add some I've backed off from, but one of these days I'd really like to get it down to 12 or so.

Yeah, like that's gonna happen...

Nickname 2005-01-26 05:39 AM

Im att 32 for the moment, will get it down to around 12 later on I think......

Max 2005-01-26 12:14 PM

well
I submitted to 120-150 Link lists
Then I cut my list to 48 LL.
after several months I see that freesites I've submitted to 120-150 are much higher in SE ranking than those I've submitted to 48.
Now I started submitting to 100 Link Lists again. No matter how big traffic they send, the only thing that counts is weather they list my sites or not.

MrYum 2005-01-26 03:42 PM

Yeppers Max...been submitting to 64 lists for some time now.

Much like yourself, the most important thing for me is the listings for se purposes. Of course, the traffic is nice too :)

As of today, have pumped the submit list up to 96...Mo Linkage fo me! |pink

That lil purple elephant cracks me up...lol!
