Strange. :(

Next time it happens, hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete and make a note of what processes are using the most % in the CPU column.

Have you tried a second browser to see if these things happen with that one too? Maybe you'll be lucky and it will be isolated to the one browser.

ha nice i just found out my font size was change , how the fuck can that be changed just like that

security_man 2005-02-07 08:58 AM

if you [ctrl]+scroll wheel on your mouse it will change the size of fonts so maybe you did that accidentally?

you might consider deleting your cookies and cache (all offline content) and resetting to factory defaults to make sure everything is back to normal :)

You need to close all but 1 instance of IE... then change the font size in the last one open.... then close that. To leave it set as default for new windows you open Stu

ha oke, well i did defrag thing, then i thought what the heck it takes to long and i found out my puter froozed after 98%....lol mmmmmmmm it looks like its realy in ie thing in firefox all works

Opti 2005-02-07 10:36 AM

if its a new computer... a reformat and windows re-install might be easier and faster.. I havent used it but there is a utility in XP designed to export your personal documents and settings to a backup for transfer to another pc..

Id be doing that i think... your virus issues have been going on long enough that its probably cost you more than a new pc anyway.. time to bite the bullet maybe? :\

stuveltje 2005-02-07 10:39 AM

well i did the restore thing already this morning and all went good, i am not sure if it are virusses, it looks more like things in my puter fight with eachother.now my only problem is i dont see images in the emails i recieve, as far i can see the websites load all oke and fast

In Outlook Express? and you ahve XP with SP2 update?

That is what MS call a "feature" :D

Someone with this setup might be able to explain exactly where to turn on remote images in emails for you if thats it.

stuveltje 2005-02-07 12:19 PM

swedguy 2005-02-07 12:53 PM

I got the exact same thing.... rejected one site and when I got to the second site that looked the same I figured something was wrong. My problem was FireFox, it had used up all my memory.

stuveltje 2005-02-07 01:08 PM
