Happy Chinese New Year
Today is the first day of the Chinese New Year (Year od Cock). I've heard that Year of Cock is good for adult biz :) What do you think? By the number of hotlinkers from Chinese sites recently, I would say it definitelly is, and it started a while ago.

"signs point to yes".
I gave out all my red envelopes last night, made all the friends and especially my girlfriend very happy. The year of the rooster (cock) is a year of hard work and pride. I look forward to it being a VERY good year! Alex |
i don't know what the year of Rooster will bring to us all..;)
|
Alex, I can't find my hong bao. Did you misplace mine? ;)
|
swedguy. look under your pillow, I am sure it is there somewhere (mine was!).
Such fine traditions! Everything you want to know about the year of the Rooster (cock): http://www.holisticaroma.co.uk/artic...eseRooster.htm :-) Alex |
I'm looking forward to it ;)
My forecast: This can prove to be a challenging year for Rabbits. One step forwards and two steps back. Hopeful prospects can be easily undermined. Seek out your friends and they will be able to help you overcome obstacles at home and at work. Don’t try to tackle your setbacks on your own. Shite. If this year will be one step forward and two steps back, then last year was one step forward and ten steps back |pink I'll prove it wrong ;) |
I think it is totally unfair that I would be the Year of the Monkey. :)
Why couldn't I be something more cool like an Ox or Tiger or Dragon (well, I guess Dragon is reserved). And to top it off, I'm chosen to be 'Sparky' I don't like 2005. :) |
I suspect this will be the year of Sparky :)
|
Cd, I am born in the year of the dragon , as is my girlfriend (she is 12 years younger than me). We both VERY much have specific personalities that are very similar, sometimes we laugh about how much we are dragons.
I like this "Harmonious relationships at home and at work are indicated for the Dragon. Promotion opportunities are promising and for those Dragons running their own businesses, new influential friends will help you make gains. There could be good news and celebrations with loved ones" I'm good to go! :-) Alex |
For some reason, the Peter Gabriel song, "Shock the Monkey" keeps running through my mind since reading that page.
|
OK, so is this a coincidence. I was born in the year of the Dragon. And I am also the only person in the Western World who believes that dragons do exist (and I have got the tense correct, I don't just mean they did exist, I mean they still do). Not only that, I have seen photographic proof, and am working on a website that goes into my findings (N.B. "findings" not just "theories"). Once it is finished I let you all have the link, then you can 'phone the men in white coats to come and get me.

Re: Chinese New Year
Was running a google adsense ad for my poker site and targeted keywords around chinese new year. Worked great for a few days. Lots of impressions and a 1.5% Click thru. CTR stayed steady for three days with 40,000+ impresions. Chinese love to gamble. The traffic has died down now but was a good campaing traffic wise. Not sure about sales yet. Lots of my affills have 30 day or more cookies.
Who here is using adsense and how do you get around googles content restrictions? I got a mirror site with no gambling content and no links to poker rooms. It just highlights the chips, tables and stuff from my store with a prominent link to the parent site for those who want to see more. Stever |shocking| |
