With Greenguy coming here on Monday. it would be great if we had some suggestions from you guys to talk about.

So, tell me, what would you like to see on this site?
Remember...we have a irc chat room and we have plans for that but...lets come up with some ideas together.

We really are open to anything.

So, take your time, think about what the perfect webmaster resource site should have and Greenguy and I will discuss all your ideas next week.

Jim, I've got a few ideas, although I think the best resource will always be this board. With so many webmasters here, working in different areas, there's probably no question that can't be answered.

This leads to my first idea.

1. We could use some articles. You could open submissions to everyone, review, and submit the best. Not an original idea, but I never try anything new before I've read around the subject.

2. I read somewhere, a poll I think on netpond, where the general consensus about the adult industry was that it was heading towards a better use of billing systems and pay sites. I'd like to see some resources aimed at pay site owners. Password scripts, methods of retaining members, elements of good tour pages, maybe try and get some deals from content providers to offer bulk discounts (1000 or 5000 images for x amount).

3. Maybe categorize a section for different types of endeavour. i.e tgp/ll owners, submitters, avs area, pay site place. Include specific resources for each area.

Not very creative yet. Need more caffeine.

Articles would be cool though.

I allways thought the webmaster boards should have a rewards system for posters
I mean thats what its all about... the posters

and this way the people that really help your board get a little something

something like ars or silvercash

also when u guys give away prizes
it should be somethin that has a little value
maybe a greenguy and jim tshirt
or a 25 dollar gift cirtifacte

I allways thought giving away links seemed a bit cheesey

or how about a higher payout at certian sponsors for webmasters that post more then 300 times a month

the number of posts would have to be more to your needs and expatations

but its an idea

Tommy - I agree with you on the "link" prize thing - not that great of a prize to begin with - LOL Something like the link prize that I am offering on the NHL Playoffs Pool will be really valuable as far as Google PR goes (and I know you don't pay too much attention to the Search Engine thing - LOL)

I also like the gift certifiate idea - hell, Hawg's Points dontated 1000 rewards points for the NHL Playoffs Pool & in there, one of the rewards you can get is a gift certificate to Circuit City, which I might just go grab with my points, as I really fucking love Circuit City - LOL

Perhaps tutorials for the different graphic programs? Like how to optimize your images without losing the quality, making a seamless background or beveled text... the simpler things that all of us do on a regular basis.
