I watched Bill Maher last night and was notified by him that the first thing our new Attorney General is going after is the porn industry. Anyone heard anymore about this?

He's reopened the Extreme Associates case.

I guess he has time now since he drafted policy for the ethical treatment of prisoners; I think line one is "wipe menstrual discharge over prisoners face" and line 2 is "parade naked prisoners with leashes around their necks".

I watched as well. I didn't realize how much I missed Real Time in the off season, but fuck I love that show and I'm glad it's back. As to the AG reopening the Extreme Associates case, if it got tossed in one of the most conservative districts in the country, I wonder what he thinks he's going to accomplish by reopening it.

I didn't even know it was back on. And it's not on indemand yet so I have to record it tonight :)

I am not sure what he's saying; either he's being negligent as a father by not monitoring his childrens surfing habits, or he's too stupid to figure out how to install Netnanny. In either case, may have to get my boots out for the new round of BS tossed out by the Bush administration.

Actually, he is doing exactly the same thing John Ashcroft did - pick a higher profile situation that the government has lost at, and send it back to the courts for consultation. That is a "holding pattern" action that will take probably 2 or more years to resolve itself - and after another loss, likely to get booted up further.

I am actually starting to think the Bush people have no time and no stomach for this stuff. They keep punting, keep making "we are serious about obscenity" statements, and then either pushing old stuff back to the courts or threatening us with laws that the courts already struck down.

I think the guy from Extreme personally challenged the previous A.G. to file suit against him on a TV interview.. so he did, lol. He had some great arguments too.

It was a no brainer that the new A.G. would crack down on porn because of the people's mandate, but on the other side of the coin...what EP has been doing is only inviting trouble.

We just turned down a fairly lucrative deal to allow our members to purchace videos of members area content, because one wrong interracial DVD to the wrong home in Alabama and we are looking a heap of problems.

Mail is still one of the best ways for them to get you.

the show was great, it aired live and thats when i saw it.. although robbin williams was quite annoying but funny at some parts. |cool|

great show and he has a knack for pointing out the hypocracies in the White House.
