How do you track submissions?

To those that submit to numerous LL's, how do you track which ones accept your free sites and which ones send traffic?

First of all you can look it up in your server stats. This is the only way to recognize which sponsor sends traffic, IŽm afraid.

And some sponsors offer the opportunity to track it with different campaigns, but you wonŽt get to know which ll sends you traffic that way, only the summary of all.

Another one is to track the clicks with a script. I think IŽve got one which tracks clicks on ads. If you want to get it, IŽll look for it, maybe IŽll find it. ;)

You could also track the ip of the user in your apache logs where he came from.

Server stats

Server stats... you will get a feel over a couple of weeks exactly who is doing what for you. Some lists will send a ton of traffic and no sales, some will send only a little traffic but you will see sales, etc.

awstats is pretty good, you can look at your major refers pretty easily that way.

AW Stats works for me. You can also use a php script that logs the incoming IP into a database right before a page is drawn.
