I just read on http://www.smartwebby.com/ to use plurals in your meta tags e.g. 'web developer', 'web developers' .

Is this important?

A plural on Google will bring up a whole different bag of results. Main thing is to predict which is gonna be typed in more by surfers.

Someone looking for a "web developer" may use the singular or the plural. So you have to make a choice because it's not easy getting a site to do well with both phrases.

URB is correct. Use both in your meta tags and on your index page.

To take his example a bit further "If you are looking for web developers...you have found the best web developer for...developing your web presence...." Do as many permutations as possible from the start.

You mean e.g. cumshots 'cumshots' free porn 'free porn'

"Free" will attract tons of surfers who don't want to buy, So unless you like watching the numbers of hits you get rather than the $$$ in your bank account I would rethink this strategy.

Using your example "cumshots" you use "cum shots, cumshot, cum shot, cummy, etc. There are hundreds of permutations and alternatives that surfers are searching for that will make you sales |rasta|

I use both... but usually target one phrase in particular.... Targetting all combinations may "weaken" your results for a specific phrase. JMO

The "old school" theory was to pluralize everything. Nowadays, on google it does make a difference and will bring back different results.

DD is right - it's good to go for a mix if you can do it.
