Any sportscard collectors in here?
 

Any sportscard hobbyist on the board? I've been collecting for years now. Looking for some good places to buy collections, bulk sales etc. hit me up lets chat |headbang|

When I was a kid, I had a ton of cards - baseball, football, hockey & Star Wars - but sadly, like most kids, I had no idea they'd be worth anything & either wrote on them or traded them for other silly kid things.

Fuck - I had the entire collection of NHL cards from 1980 - the year the WHL came in with Gretzky & whatnot - they were blue :)

GenBucks I collect Nascar ones. Ebay is a great place to find for all sports and such :)

OH! I do have an O J Simpson rookie card that a good friend of mine gave me :D

(I'm too embarrassed to mention the Dick Trickle Nascar Card MML gave me - LOL)

I have a lot of cards I collected from 88-95. I was obsessed and spent about $100/day on them. All kinds, Baseball, Football, Basketball, non-sport and Hockey :)

I have a ton of hockey and football cards was into it heavy from 1979 till about 1992 and loved it. Was going to sell them and my wife talked me out of it cuz she wants me to save them for the kids. I have so many that i started to only collect rookie and second year cards. I just go to a local shop here called Bases Loaded.

I am with GG i had a Gretzky rookie that was a mess but i do have his second year card that is in pretty good shape. Hell all this talk i might get back into it although it has goten very pricy and way to many brands to choose from. :)

I have a fairly big hockey card collection that dates back to the late 60s.
I collect just for fun though. I buy, I don't sell.

I haven't been very active in the hobby for a few years now, and am less inclined to get back into it what with the current NHL hockey climate.

I have a few, I was never a big collector, I bought a few of my favorite player’s cards such as Montana's rookie, Reggie Millers rookie etc. I'm sure I have nothing of high importance.

A friend of mine is a huge collector and when I asked how many he had one day he replied "a few million" which I assumed was just a smart ass comment, but then I saw his collection and if he has less then 2 million I would be shocked. By far the biggest collection of anything I have ever seen.

I've got a few thousand cards from 89-91, football, baseball, and basketball. Probably nothing really good, but do have a David Robinson rookie card. :)

Guess I should get a beckett one of these days and check the prices on them...

Whoever started from 88-95, I have their rookie card. I looked and have well over 100 Bret Favre rookies.

Of course we have all our favorite rookies as well. Vickie has Montana...I have Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas...etc

Last I looked, Steve, they are worth about $100 each. I will grab one though for my next trip to Buffalo.

i used to be a BIG collector when i was between 12-17 or so, what i've managed to get my hands on that i still currently have are:

1. michael jordan rookie
2. reggie jackson rookie
3. 2 jerry rice rookies

thats all i remember for now, i have a shitload of them at my parents house in illinois
