When give a choice, which do you prefer?

pps unless I know for sure that most will stay 3 to 4 months and thats hard to know so pps always IMO draws webmasters..

Both have their pros and cons.
But in the long term, revshare will make you more money.

I think it depends on the site and the niche. If the site is full of original content and gets updated regularly giving people a reason to renew, I'd go for revshare. But if it's a cookie cutter no original content type of site I'd go for PPS

With smaller programs and real amateur sites I choose revshare (which is often the only option on small programs anyway), but with the sites the big programs put out I choose PPS. Those sites aren't built to retain. They're built for the upsell.

Exactly, that's my philosophy.

Additionally, I usually keep to Revshare on tight niche-based sites.

Revshare for unique, high-quality and/or microniche sites. PPS for megasites. Not a hard-and-fast rule; a very small handfull of megasites have amazed me with their ability to retain members. But for the most part...not so much.

Newbie hint: Some of the best-retaining sites take a long time to start making sales - you have to wait for the targeted SE traffic to come in. Once it does, it's long-term gold.

I agree with the philosophy that niche sites with regular updates = revshare, (I got a guy on his 20th or so rebill :) ) megasites, broad niche, even with regular updates = PPS

I just skewed it.... although my best sponsor doesn't offer revshare and that is what I voted for :D

My number one money making sponsor right now is 50/50 revshare.

That being said I like to look inside of a member's area before I'll send a large amount of traffic to a revsahre site.

If its a unique site with exclusive content and you just have a feeling they will recur I'll go for rev share without any doubts. I prefer to use pps with bigger sponsors but I think a milfhunter signup with revshare will do much better than with pps because the site is online for years and updated regularly...
Generally - revshare all the way if you can "feel" the site.

Its a tight race.

I do better overall with PPS, but as has been said I've done quite well with some micro-niche revshare programs. I've got one that I average $45/signup with when rebills are calculated, but IMO (and my stats) there are just too many choices for surfers in the big niches to keep surfers rebilling for long.

If I owned the site revshare for sure.

If I send the traffic PPS :D

Time to look for alternatives to the afiliate model totally is my real opinion.. Direct adspot sales.. selling PPC.. that sort of thing.

When you're in a lull its nice when you see rebills from revshare programs. I use both. The PPS is always more exciting to get though.

well for me if it's my smaller niche based creampie etc sites on ccbill i always go revshare even if i have the choice ussually not lol :D if it's a mainstream site, ALWAYS PPS lol. take the money and run, i have only been doing this just over 2 years but mainstream sites i see same content over and over just new gallery design, my little ccbill mom and pop shops make exclusive new content at least weekly, i went and checked my ccbill stats for the year after i was reading about the dirty d contest tho i must be close and was, on average dirty d's crackwhore etc and my good creampie sites recurred for 9 months + :D fuck PPS in that case! i am here for long term can wait it out, much more money in the long run :)
