Done with the Waterbed :)

Well, yesterday we took deliverly of a brand new, really nice, mattress :) The first night of sleep was beautiful. I actually dreamed of floating on clouds all night :) I think my sleepless nights are over.

We have like 3 waterbeds at home, the only room without one is mine, and I'm planning to keep it that way :)
Enjoy your nights sleeping Jim :)

waterbeds sound nice but they are the worst thing ever to sleep on

Cleo 2005-03-12 07:52 AM

You should take the old water mattress and fill it up with helium, attached a lawn chair to it, and float around New York.

Jim 2005-03-12 08:01 AM

Waterbeds were nice about 20 years ago :) That's when we got rid of our last one. Then we went with an air bed...sucked. Moving in here came with a really nice waterbed so we decided to give it a try. Again, it sucked.

Welcome to the new millennium :D

I heard that waterbeds are bad for your back-- They just don't offer the support your back needs when laying in a prone position.

I'd recommend getting one of those "smart memory" foam mattresses. I'd rather not pay huge chiropractor fees later on in the future. ;)

MrYum 2005-03-12 08:25 AM

Yep...sleep on memory foam here...amazing stuff! Hands down, the most comfortable nights sleep I've ever had :)

Had a waterbed many years ago...funny thing was...it wasn't too bad...when I was young! lol

When I hit 30...that sucker had to go...very hard on the back :(

Hey Jim..
Did ya see any of them little sheep floating around the clouds?

:D

Useless 2005-03-12 09:44 AM

There was time that waterbeds were sexy to have. I blame Hugh Heffner. When I was 25, I had a king size waterbed in a studio apartment. Between the bed and my infant daughter's crib, there was about 10 square feet of floor space available. It was just me, her, and a very angry iguana living there, so it wasn't a big deal. Anyway, I could never fuck very well on a water mattress. Truth be told, I don't fuck well on anything, but the waterbed makes it that much harder. I just can't get a reliable stance on one of those things.

No Sheep...they only show up when I can't sleep :)

Torn Rose 2005-03-12 10:04 AM

Since you got rid of your waterbed will you be keeping your silk robe, Speedos and gold chain with medallion?

Keep jamming to the 8 tracks!

Good point Torn! Jim did leave out that the new bed is heart shaped, has a red shag blanket & pink satin sheets.

There's also a wall behind the bed that opens with the touch of a button on a remote that has lotions & dildos & strap-ons & fetish gear.

Next up....disco ball :D

"Yeah hi, I'm looking for a mattress that has the best footing.."

I watched "Boogie Nights" last night and when I read Jims post my first thought was of Jim holding a shotgun screaming "come here puppies!"

dareutwo 2005-03-12 08:13 PM

Damn you GG and Torn, my mood ring just turned black!

LOL if you an Aussie movie called "Danny Deckchair" in your video store grab it, its a funny feel good movie. He attaches a bunch of helium balloons to his deck chair cos he is sick of his life and floats to a quiet outback town.

RawAlex 2005-03-13 03:01 AM

Oh Jim, BEEEEEEEEEE-have! :)

I had waterbeds pretty much from 16 until about 3 years ago. I got rid of them mostly because I didn't want to muck up the carpets in my new house. I didn't really have any problem, either way. I can sleep anywhere, even on a sofa ;)

The counting sheep must be very upset with you now!

It's not my fault you didn't want to drive to the MaryLou's :D

RawAlex 2005-03-13 11:55 AM

heh-heh... not a negative thing... I could have slept on the bar, but I am sure that Ramster's snoring would have kept me awake!
