Warning Page Banners & Text

I know a few links lists have rules against hardcore images on warning pages. Which is understandable. Many of them particularly mention banners with hardcore images.

How strict does this rule tend to be? Does it include banners that have censored or digitalized naughty bits? Does it include banners that have any nudity at all?

And how does this work for text. Is there a free-for-all on warning page text? Or should I refrain from using Carlin's 7 words?

Thanks for the input.

Dave

I think it depends on who you ask, different LL owners have different policies. Personally I don't agree with hardcore on a warning page, but some people don't mind.

I believe the majority don't mind hardcore ads on the index page. Most of a free site's traffic will be coming from link lists which, last I heard, are porn sites. If someone surfing a porn site gets offended by a hardcore banner, it's time they close their browser and head back to bible camp. Your other traffic source will be search engines. Do you know of a search engine that only indexes the warning page of porn sites? Me either. So a surfer is just as likely to enter your site via a gallery page as they would the warning page.

As far as text links go, they are much more acceptable if anchored to a banner. Otherwise they may be considered as a false enter.

I'm with UW, I tend not to worry too much about hardcore on the warning, as it's already behind the LL's warning page, and all pages get SE traffic, so do you put a warning on every single page you make?

Woohoo post 300!

I don't worry about it too much, I think I would PREFER the harder stuff on the inside, but this is PORN, not a trip to disneyland. You went to a link list, click on a link, and expected to see what, a ping pong game?

All I tend to look for is at least a passable attempt at an adults only warning.

I personally don't care how much hardcore you have on the warning page, as long as it's all legal and the page/site follow the rules. As for text, again, as long as it's not banned text I could care less :)

If someone surfing a porn LL doesn't know there's hardcore on your site from the title and description, you need to work harder at writing titles and descriptions :D
