ccBill vs Paycom
I am looking for some feedback on both companies. If you could provide me with some strenghts and weeknesses you have experienced, it would be greatly appreaciated.
|
This thread sure caught my eye :) CCBill doesn't accept ePassporte virtual Visa but Paycom will. CCBill doesn't have an agreement setup with ePassporte like Paycom does. I don't know how big of a deal that is overall, but since I use ePassporte to pay for things on the internet it is for me anyway. There's another thread that talks more about this if you're interested:

CCBIll is easy to setup. Paycom put us through fucking hell.
CCBill has a nice admin and Paycom has a very basic one that I personally really find lacking. On the one paysite that I have a choice of sending traffic to either the CCBill tour or the Paycom tour I only get sales from the CCBill tour. Paycom does offer payment options that CCBill doesn't support. |
I've noticed that when paycom turns up the scrub, epoch turns it down and vice versa...very strange.
|
paycom == epoch :)
however, I think you meant ccbill for one of those. |
I have heard Paycom's scrubbing is a little less than than ccBill... is this true?
|
I don't know about the scrub with either. I'm just finding with all things being equal with the one site that I have options CCBill sales are way, way more then with Paycom. I can only think it is because Paycom scrubs more but I have no idea.
What I really would like to see is cascading billing at the paysite that I'm managing like the big guys do. I think by being able to rotate and cascade would be the only way of really knowing. I really dislike the affiliate admin with Paycom. |
How much is Paycom's Fees? Do you have to pay the $750 with them?
|
From my personal experience, ccbill scrubs a little harder but I see more recurings with them.
The best? One of them in front with the other as a secondary processor... plus don't forget to allow people to directly click if they want to use epassporte or pay with a check. Alex |

I spoke with someone at Paycom yesterday and he told me it is $500 and they pay the other $250, and then once you hit $10,000, they will give you the $500 back.
I just want to make sure I have the potential to get as many new customers as possible. I was looking at Verotel as well, but do they still require you to put your domain over to them? I use a 3rd party membership script, so all I really need is good CC processors which can send postback info to my membership script letting it know that the transaction was approved. I'm not really even interested in affiliate programs since that is all self contained in my membership script. :) |
I've always seen better over all sales with CCBill. And ya their stats are SO much better than paycom/epoch.
Verotel, never had much luck with them. And the tickets club is a joke. ronnie |

Unfortunatly there is no cascading billing. The user has to choose who they want to process it. Hopefully in the future they will come up with this! :( Also, there aren't a lot of adult processors on there. They do support ccBill, and I just provided them with the postback docs for Paycom, so hopefully that will be added soon! |

CCbill won't even reply my emails... I don't like them. Paycom is awesome.

CCBill has always been great when I've called them and they have even responded to most of my mail in a helpful way.
The sales rep we had at Paycom was horrible and would just mail us a standard form letter no matter what the question was. We were finally able to get a new rep and everything went quickly then. What I'm not seeing is better sales with Paycom verses CCBill. In fact sales from the Paycom tour have sucked. Yet others say that they do better with Paycom, I don't know why. I guess next we need to find a way of doing cascading billing with affiliate tacking. |
I am a true ccbill lover.
I wont even promote a site that uses paycom as I dont trust them. |

no paycut here :)

I’ve been with CCBill for close to 5 years and have nothing but good things to say about them, well except I find the scrubbing is a bit harsh some times but they have to do what they have to do to keep in compliance.
I have little experience with paycom, I believe they pulled a shot a few years back and many webmasters lost money but I don’t know the details on the whole mess. With any third party biller you are taking a risk, you’re money is in their hands! |
