Acceptable place for pop ups/unders?
 

Is there such thing as an acceptable place for pop ups or pop unders?

It seems they are frowned upon everywhere, yet so many people seem to promote them.

For example "CEcash Popunderbucks" which the flash banner is on this forum quite often.

Personally I think they have become pretty much a waste of time to do. All browsers except IE have built-in popup blocker and it can be added to IE also.

I know. It does seem like a waste. So why do sponsors like CEcash still promote them?

because there are hundreds if not thousands of new surfers every day and sponsors work on quantity for the most part... and not everybody has a popup blocker yet :D

But it also seems that you get blacklisted everywhere if you use pop ups.

if you are begging for a piece of somebody elses traffic you follow their rules... you DO NOT have to use the same rules on you own sites, but it is smart to not overuse some tactics so that you get some return customers :D

You can always create a CJ site. :)

Think of them like masturbating - everyone uses them, but rarely do they talk about it, let alone use them in front of others :D
