Alexa.com
Has anyone had problems getting into Alexa. I have been trying for three days. The front pages loads extremely slow and all the images are broken.
|
Not tried lately, but I haven't been able to get into overture's suggestion tool for months. Didn't I read alexa owns overture?
|
Just checked, no problem.
|
I've not noticed any problems with Alexa's site.

What is the url of the page you are trying to get to? |
Jim,
http://www.alexa.com/ Sure appreciate any help you can give me. Perhaps contacting them and point them to this thread. I need a few numbers from alexa to finish a small project I am working on. |
I get there fine Chop
If you want to send me the information you need, I will ge it for you. |
Jim, thanks for the offer but I have way to many sites to check to ask a friend to do it. Perhaps, I will eventually be able to get to alexa. Never had this problem with alexa. I suspect it has something to do with the routing from direcway.

Dory - that's the same link I have bookmarked and just couldn't gear near nor by for a fucking age, until I clicked your link just to see, and it worked! Even my bookmark worked - thanks for that, if you hadn't posted I wouldn't have checked :D

Alexa is a pain in the ass.... what is so frustrating is when clients think that they should base their entire strategy upon Alexa numbers. They are so iffy - I mean, on our best days our Alexa numbers are crap and on the other hand, when we have low numbers, Alexa jumps up like our traffic is through the roof.
The thing that frustrates me the most is those days when it drops off to a null... try explaining THAT to a client. They think something went wrong with the site, the site got blocked, dropped off the SEs or any number of Chicken Little freak out scenarios. I've forwarded articles, tips from here @ GG&J and anything else I could think of showing that Alexa is a fickle beast.... *sigh* It's SO frustrating! |cry| |
