Big Browser Preoblems And Im Pissed off
 

Ok here is my dilemma I go to surf to grenguys,al4a.the hun, worldsex, mature post, pichunter, mmm any big site i get redircted to some scumbags page jokerp.com has the url of greeguy in the adress bar but jokerp page loads same with all the other sites Anyhow i checked my hosts file all is nnormal there 127.0.0.1 localhost
I have Norton AV 2004 running, search and destroy, and ad aware, and it finds nothing. ok so i figued maybe it was an IE bug well Wrong i nstalled mozilla same shit happened. I have checed for new files in my win folder but don't find anything

Any one have any clues for me so i can fix it i lost 12 hrs with this shit already. I can usually get rid f the shit myself but damn this has me stumped.


P.S. If You See the guy that runs that damn joker site reach down his throat and rip his asshole thru his mouth for me he is in prague czech.

Thanks in advance for any help that you give cause i know most of us that work in this biz dont have to cheat like this jerk does to make a cent or two.

GR: On your system, check to make sure you don't have more than one copy of hosts file. That happens some times, they put a different hosts file in and change the registry to look at that version instead of the real version.

Also, if you are feeling REAL adventurous, search your disc for any file that contains the url you end up at and see if anything turns up.

NOTE: jokerp.com does not exist (is not registered) so I am not sure where you are ending up. Can you give the exact URL you are ending up at? You can do a trace route to see where you are actually going to.

Also, with adaware, make sure you have downloaded the latest version of the files. They update about twice a week now, based on all the scumware that is surfacing. Until you know really where you are ending up, you cannot search google to find a solution.

Ok well Thanks i found a host file in system32/drivers her is what it had in itso you can se who might have lost some trafic from anyone else that got this shit as you can see there are some big names here and The Ip traces back to Prohosters I will be calling them and sendin the screenshots that i have to prove it not nly did it go to this sorry ass seach page but it went to a r*** Video site. which is also hosted on prohosters so the whois info shows but thats another story.

I Put the ** in because its a pretty nasty site so didnt want to post the whole ip here .

And for those of you who read this and say well this aint nothin i got to worry about i didnt lose anything well you just dont know How many peole have their host fil changed like this? and when they click your banner after sucking in all your porn guess what they aint goin to your sponsor they are goin to this guys site So thats why I wanted to give a heads up here . Sure maye only 10 people have this problem but then again could be 100000 who knows .

If anyone else has this problem look in your windows/system32/drivers folder and you will see there is a host file in there delete it

guitar riff, this is one scary thought, i thought the GAIN network was bad enough, but how does this sort of thing get onto a system? I'm real dumb when it comes to understanding these sorts of things.

I have had exctly the same problem in the last week except for me it was with another sponsors links.

I've tried Adaware,Spybot Search and Destroy and http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/

All to no avail,each search returned a PC clean bill of health

It was suggested to me by Matt from http://www.pinknpurple.com/ that I try this program .

http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/ the program is called hijack this .

I tried it and It found entries in my registry files that caused my pc to be redirected to R@PE pages and other sites totally unrelated to my search.

Within minutes I had removed the malitious files and rebooted my pc and was back in the saddle.

Also An antivirus program will not detect these as they are not a virus...
