whats a domain squater
 

I got a submission from a url that is blacklisted at useful scripts reasons was
domain squater. Is that where someone copys a paysites url?

That is when someone copies a link link or tgp usually. Paysite guys don't usually care if the traffic is being sent to them. So when someone registers hun.com or linkorama.us, ect.

Domain name collectors can get an unjustified reputation as domain squatters. Strictly speaking, a squatter is someone that regs a trademarked name, and then tries to hold the company to ransom. It costs $1.500 plus fees to take a case to WIPO, so a lot of companies just pay up as there is no guarantee that they will win. I've got a domain that could be misconstrued, it's www.RubyWax.com . I did write to her an say I'd swop it for a signed pic if she wanted it, but I didn't ever get a reply.

I'd be interested in peoples opinions on me holding it.
