Seems my sites were down for the better part of the day. |shocking|

Hopefully I haven't lost my listings or been blacklisted by anyone, but the free sites and galleries were on allextreme.net and pussy-virgin.com. My host has received an ass chewing (for the second time in 2 weeks), and either this will be corrected or I'll be moving to a new host.

I had a dedicated box with a host a couple years ago that was down more than it was up...crappy situation. Hope you get it resolved soon...and hope that host ass tasted good...lol!

downtime sucks ass... hosts suck... the worst thing is trying to figure out if your sites got flagged for being down...

so what's the over/under on the number of posts spamming you with new hosting offers? I say 4 :D

I remember doing work for Crown Petroleum, they had a store on Gratiot and something else -- near the bottom of that run. They put in the 30000 gallon tanks, largest ever manufactured at the time, and the manufacturer didn't even have the stick charts, so, they had no idea if the tank was leaking, etc.

But, Friday night, guys lined up to get the cheap gas - Crown made sure on Friday's they were 2 cents less than the other stations for Premium. The guys would run up Gratiot, race back, and then fill up with regular on their way out. And Saturday the 80k gallon truck would pull up and refill the tanks. :)

I was just getting ready to ask if it was just me....

No, my server took a shit entirely and I've gotten an emergency move to another server....since I do both mainstream and adult sites and I had to pick one to redirect everything to during the move I picked that one :)

Fixed...Again. Fuck me running. Maybe I can supplement my lost revenue by running a pool on when something will go wrong at my host again. This is extremely unlike them, but I've now firmly got one foot out the door.

don't let it get to you...it happens from time to time...as long as its not happening EVERYDAY...then I'd say, find another hosting company.

I was with a host a couple years ago...my box was hacked 10 times in 7 days. War*z kiddies...stupid shits were sniffing the ftp login...deleting all my sites...trying to set the box up for their buddies. This just kept happening...host would block em...I'd upload everything again...and a few hours later...boom...down again |angry|

And get this...this dumbass host...kept asking if I'd pissed anyone off in the biz...that they MUST be after me or my biz. It wasn't until I gave my other host access to that box and had him do some snooping around that we figured out it was just script kiddies and the dumbass host hadn't installed some security patches for apache...

I no longer have any servers with that host...lol

Good fuckin luck Max...these boxes are our bread and butter...really sucks when this shit happens...over and over again :(

We bought a server, had it co-located with a company we thought knew their stuff only to be hacked more times than a 2 dollar whore on saturday night turns tricks. It was one excuse after another. So many ups and downs it was like being on a see-saw. When I was told the tech couldn't be bothered to go re-boot the server because "it was Sunday and he wanted to spend time with his family". We bailed. That of course started more problems, trying to get everything uploaded to a new dedicated box before getting blacklisted for one reason or another. Of course, I didn't get everything back on-line before receiving the old blacklisting on some of our domains. I got unbanned some places not others. And probably never will get unbanned on some.

Get both feet out quick. I just had to dump a host and it was nothing short of hell to get rid of them and trying to get a refund from them almost gave me an aneurism.

They were down for 2 days, gave me every shit excuse, and kept saying the server was going to be back up in 30 minutes...it took 2 days. The tech support was some guy that couldn't speak English and he understood nothing.

Now they're saying there was no downtime and trying to nickle and dime me on a refund.
