pics or vids content
 

Hi,
i have a question, have over 30 free sites with pictoral content only, it uses about 50% of my 50 GB transfer/month, so far. My skills are still quile low so i'm not even thinking abut starting building tgp.
So.. what content is "better" any ratio differences?
What are the ups and downs of both, vids and pics sites?
Should i start making vids sites?
What You prefer - in bussiness - and why ;) (i think that surfers prefer vids...)

on galleries and freesites I made the experience that clips makes better ratios ;)

if you only have 50gb on your hosting vids might eat it up pretty quickly depending on where all you are submitting to...

I've tried both and honestly can't say one way or the other (on freesites). Movies will burn a LOT more bandwitdth though.

...and i have in total 70 LL where i submit too...
so is in my situation 50 GB transfer to small to built vids free sites ?

when you'll be building pic free sites every day it will be not enough soon... ;)

50GB will probably be not sufficient enough.

If you really want to play it safe, buy yourself a decent dedicated server (the cheapest servers usually come with at least 1000GB transfer).

I have a few servers at Hivelocity.net (~$80/month a server)-- And they're not too bad for the price you pay.

That's pretty cheap to say the least. Are they reliable?

Litwa when submitting sites with clips, you will habve one problem - it is much harder to protect them from hotlinkers. In some cases its even impossible to protect your movie files ( for example I think there is no way to protect wmv files )

And yeah 80$ is very cheap for a dedicated server. Anybody has opinions about hivelocity? Are they realy decent?

I must say movies convert better than pics :) There are good ways to protect your movies from being hotlinked, I use antihotlinking.com and it works perfect! :)

There are also sponsors that will give you freehosting if you promote their sites... (hint see sig hehe ;) )

Except some LL don't accept freesites hosted on sponsor-hosted hosting. ;)

Well if the sponsor provides good hosting I can't see why :) anyways if some LL choose not to list them, its up to them, I just dont see the problem.

From an average user who surfs porno everyday for the past 7 years, ill put it to you this way. For 2 years when i started i never bothered with movies cause 56K just don't cut it when it comes to sharpening your pencil. Once I went to BB I never bother with the static pics. I do but it's rare. Why look at a pic when you can see movement and action? If you are studying to be a shooter then hey study the pics, lighting, poses etc. But I would think that since BB came around most of the people doing LL have seen and increase in there conversions from vids.
