How much traffic does 1 blog really generate ?
 

For me Blog is all about the money as all other things i do in this business, its not for fun or pleasure or whatever :)

So...i was wondering, if anyone could tell me what traffic i will probably get on the upcoming blog we are making here ( its a celeb blog ) ? Anyone dare to guess ? :) |headbang|

It's as easy as answering:

How much traffic will I get to my new link list?
How much traffic will I get to my new TGP?

It's impossible. Some rely on just SE/Blog SE traffic. Some find other ways to feed it with traffic. It all depends on how creative you are to find traffic.

Some of the people I talk to about blogging are getting 50 hits a day.

Some have broken 2k.

Some of the major adult blogs out there are getting 20k.

These are uniques, not page views :)

I know of a blogger who icq'd me last night to tell me his 2 week old blog had gotten 50 google hits that day.

Like swedguy said its impossible but ultimately the traffic can be there. But its not a simple formula.

It can depend on who You set your blog up with also, I played with one last month....on tblog...posted it and got 1300 hits the first 24 hours because they put all new blogs on their page so everyone checks it out...to bad i was just fuckin around cause nothing was on it....now it has had 3100 visits since than and I don't really do anything with it.....I guess if You build a shit pile of blogs even 25 a day to each can add up.........they are quick to get SE listings

Mine is coming quite well, i would love to get more traffic to it, but with time it comes.

Thanks Boogie thats what i mean, so the largest gets bout 20k per day, its not really impressive :P But i guess a big % is search engine traffic though. Maybe if you have a lot of these blogs it vould be worth it ? But then you would have to use duplicate content to keep them alive...

20k blog uniques is not equal to 20k tgp uniques...

I got my site url listed on a blog on www.dumpstersluts.com/blog (i think thats the address) and got over 1k a trafiic a day for about a week (strated to die off once the blog i was on was archived).

That blog gets about 50k uniques a day.

But its like any site- it all depends.

My blog is just a little more than 2weeks old now and google is sending me about 100 hits per day, 1 of my other blogs which is about 3 days old is getting 30-40 from yahoo per day(im shocked at this one). so in total after 2 weeks of building im upto about 250-300 uniques per day and its climbing steadily. If you keep working at it and keep building/submitting to directores and trading links your traffic will grow! is just a matter of persistance and patience.

Also there are a few blogs that are getting around 50k unique per day, hopefully i can make that mark if I keep at it.

Well, 20k hits can vary wildly in quality.

20k hits from TGP CJ traffic is worthless.

20k hits from link list traffic is convertable and quite worth having

20k hits from search engines is gold.

If you dont want 20k blog hits then you've never owned a blog that gets 20k for sure.

Give me a blog doing 20k a day and a TGP doing 200k a day and I know which will have the biggest bank book ;)

My wife bloggin 2 blogs, each have about 200 uniqs/day. Blogs are good for linkbuilding, SE promouting only. It's another webservice for big portals.

Expect to get 50-100 hits/day from Yahoo alone for blogspot.com blogs.

My nudecelebrityblog.com is 2 weeks old and getting about 600 uniques aday right now, all mixed with SE, hardlinks and toplists.....

i am at around 60k and 150,000 page views
