Week 8 MNF Pool Winners - SuperBowl Pool Down To 16!

Good Tuesday to everyone :)

1st off, I have to announce the winners from last nights "football game" - San Diego is a fucking joke (of course, I needed Miami to shut them out so that I won in my Fantasy Football League, but as usual, it didn't work out that way)

The winners for Week 8 are as follows:
1st Quarter: One Month Free HometownHoneyZ Photo and Video Gallery From CamZ |tddance|
Score: Miami 10 San Diego 3 - Winner: CrazySy
2nd Quarter: $100 Of Hawg's Points From Lover Cash |tddance|
Score: Miami 24 San Diego 3 - Winner: iggysick
3rd Quarter: Four Months Free Leases Stories From Sex Story Text |tddance|
Score: Miami 24 San Diego 3 - Winner: iggysick
Final Score: 250 XXX Miles From Sex Money |tddance|
Score: Miami 26 San Diego 10 - Winner: kalisti

I'll be emailing the winners later today :D

We also had 5 people drop out of the Super Bowl Pool so we are officially down to 16.

1:16 chance at going to the Super Bowl with $1000 in your pocket - COOL! :D

I hate to make changes to the rules when the contest is already underway, but this was an oversight on my part as I did not properly post the rules in the 1st place.

Rule 7 was:
7 - In the event there is a tie at the end of the contest, we will randomly draw a winnner from those that are in the tie.

Rule 7 will now be:
7 - In the event there is a tie at the end of the contest (after Week 17), we will randomly draw a winner from those that are in the tie. If there is a tie before Week 17, we will extend the contest until we have one winner or until the end of the season. (meaning if in Week 15 there are 4 people left & all 4 loose, they will go again in Week 16)

Sorry for any confusion.

If the last few lose the same weekend then it only makes sense to have them all choose again the following week.

Draws? I hate draws but it's about all you can do. However, since you cannot pick the same team twice it will get interesting as the weeks go on. This weekend for example is not an easy pick by any means.

I'm not having a hard time choosing this week. In fact, I have 2 chosen and I'm just deciding which one to go with. I have the next 3 weeks already chosen ... as long as I am right this week. LOL

The thing is, for me, if I win (and I highly doubt that I will ... I haven't followed the NFL in decades ... shit, the last hero I had was Mean Joe Greene ... LOL) ... but, if I win, I'm going to have an extra ticket for the Superbowl. The wife says she'll gladly go to Houston in January, but she isn't "... going to any stupid football game!" (her words)

So, I'll have to choose somebody to give the extra ticket to .........

It was fun while it lasted,
I'm going to have to check out some fantasy leagues next season...

I'm still going to pick a team from the pool each week and see how things WOULD have went IF san fran didn't bust my cherry so soon...

I'll probably get banged again next week though... lmao |jester|

I too have a little "list" as I'm sure all do. I have every week narrowed down but this week doesn't have any 2 touchdown favorites like the past weeks but there are a couple of teams that do stand right out.

I never once considered taking my wife to the superbowl. Is that bad? LOL

Oh, she doesn't give a shit about the superbowl .. but I'd never get away with leaving her here to shovel snow and freeze her ass off in late January while I go to the Gulf of Mexico. Think about it. You know what I mean.
|jester|

Anyway ... I'll never win this. LOL

Ramster 2003-10-30 01:31 AM

I know EXACTLY what you mean. But fortunately we have 2 kids who simply cannot stay home alone (and both our parents live 800 miles away) so she wouldn't be able to go. Aw, too bad. If I win I'd have to take a friend instead. |drunk|

I must admit I have a list as well - but some of the recent results have made me change it :)

I ignore the spreads - just because someone is a 2 touchdown favorite doesn't necessarily mean they are going to win. If it did, Houston wouldn't have beaten Miami, and Arizona wouldn't have beaten the Packers or the 49ers.

There is one certainty this week - New York :)

LMAO!
|haha

Yeah, only one team really jumps out at me this week, personally, and nothing like the way the last couple jumped out at me. And it's not even the highest spread either so... I think things are about to get really interesting. It's finger and toe crossing time. ;-)
