i found videos and photos blatantly stolen and when i posted saying so they deleted the post and emailed saying to shut up or they'll slam me and my site.

well fuck them! I don't need free loaders anyway! So i have posted this everywhere I can think of!

I always go for the sponsor too. But I also try to get ahold of the owner to piss him off a little bit :D

Does that really generate any significant amount of traffic?

I think it's still a good idea to watermark your images even if it doesn't, but I see a fair number of webmaster use that idea as a reason not to bother trying to do anything about this kind of theft. I'm not so sure that it really generates much traffic.

it will generate the kind of traffic that signs up for a cheap trial, rips your site, and then posts the members section on public forums :(

Oh an dont forget kinky they are not only ripping your stuff. They are trying to sell it. I was reading this place and if you look on allot of the posts they are asking for contributers. IE send us money. Other thing is one of the places they are offering there files from (mostly the vids) are here

You dont have to pay but if you want the file right then and now you have to pay. Oh an that site is taking paypal which might be a nice report to paypal being they are offering porno and a pay service. It's my understanding that if you pay for a membership to a site threw paypal the site can not offer any adult stuff at all. Seems they are offering you quicker access to the porn to me.

yeah sites like that are slowly killing this business... people trade zip files like I use to trade baseball cards... it's nice to see the mods on that "forum" asking for more posts of stolen content

I "heard" paypal would even fine a site selling adult stuff, heard $500. Not sure if it is true.

Then again, if they are always asking for donations, might be that they are not making money and might go away. We can only hope.

I'm a moderator of the discussed forum, and speaking in behalf of the owner, since he doesn't have much to do with the forum (he's running the mainsite). Be that as it may, I understand that paysite owner don't want to see full-sets posted on forums. But that's reality, this forum is just one out of hundreds where pics are being posted. Of course some paysite owner contacted us with the request to remove their content, which we did immediately. (Eg. SpunkyCash and Playboy). We also set up a rule, which forbids to post content from these paysites. Of course ppl don't read rules and still post these pics, but if we notice it, we delete them.

That's one possibility, the other possibility is way better and a win/win situation for both. Some other paysites noticed also that their content has been posted on the forum. But instead of removing it completely they started to post the stuff on their own and generate a good revenue. Sites we're working with:

And that are only the fews I currently can think of. Like I said, this is the ideal way for both sides to live and prosper. Our forum gets nice pics, probably directly posted by the model and the paysite receives free traffic + sign-ups (I know some numbers, it's more than you would think...)

Last but not least I have correct the statement of juggernaut, because that's completely wrong.
Rapidshare is a own (in the meanwhile mid-sized company), which has absolutely nothing to do with the forum. They are just offering webspace/traffic for movies. But with a download limit of 20mb / hour. If you want more you have to pay for it, but why should we get a penny from them? Doesn't make sense, so please think the next time before you reply.

What few people realise is the porn buyer wants one style of a particular niche. He also wants a level and quality that will never go with free content.

Not a mish mash of different styles, niches and poor quality that free sites off. If free sites were the problem there would not be a TGP site with any content on it.

Their has been free porn from day one of porn. Live with it and ask yourself why does your work not compete with it. Problem is with some they are free porn surfers trying to sell porn and wonder why they have a problem.

Yeah definitively, but of course not just one link to the main site (that wouldn't convert anyway, since it looks like spam) like:

"Hey guys, this paysite rocks"

But if you add some nice pics (10-20), like on a regular gallery you would submit to thehun.com and tell the ppl if they want more, they should visit your site, that's absolutely ok.

If you want to do it on a regular basis, I have to talk to cayne, but if he can sign-up and use his ref-code I'm sure he will be ok with it too.

Or are you getting mixed up between galleries and free sites?

If you don't know the difference between the two, how are you qualified to make any comment about traffic sources?

So this makes it ok? Bullshit. You're giving away TONS of high quality shit that people are supposed to be paying for. Blatant copyright violations all over the damn place. It would be different if you were posting low quality versions of what is available in higher quality inside the paysite. A prime example.. "katies-world ORDER SETS ARCHIVE". I'm willing to bet the only reason that thread is still around is because she doesn't know it's there.

You seem to have a pretty large and loyal visitor base, might I suggest that you steer the site in a more legitimate direction before you piss off the wrong people and the whole thing gets shut down.

I do believe that war ship has already sailed. The cruise missle just hasn't been deployed yet.
