THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO THE THREAD REGARDING THE FORUM STEALING CONTENT I POSTED A FEW DAYS AGO.
WHAT A COP OUT AND A FLAT OUT LIE! THEY WONT ALLOW ME TO POST THAT STEALING CONTENT IS ILLEGAL BUT YET THEY DONT CONDONE IT? LIARS! THEIR VIDEO VAULT FORUM IS PLAINLY A PLACE TO POST STOLEN VIDEO CLIPS. THE GUY EVEN THREATENED TO POST A USER/PASS TO MY SITE! WHAT A FUCKING ASSHOLE! I HOPE YOU GUYS WILL TAKE A LOOK FOR YOUR CONTENT AND IF U FIND IT DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

I'm a moderator of the discussed forum, and speaking in behalf of the owner, since he doesn't have much to do with the forum (he's running the mainsite). Be that as it may, I understand that paysite owner don't want to see full-sets posted on forums. But that's reality, this forum is just one out of hundreds where pics are being posted. Of course some paysite owner contacted us with the request to remove their content, which we did immediately. (Eg. SpunkyCash and Playboy). We also set up a rule, which forbids to post content from these paysites. Of course ppl don't read rules and still post these pics, but if we notice it, we delete them.

That's one possibility, the other possibility is way better and a win/win situation for both. Some other paysites noticed also that their content has been posted on the forum. But instead of removing it completely they started to post the stuff on their own and generate a good revenue. Sites we're working with:

And that are only the fews I currently can think of. Like I said, this is the ideal way for both sides to live and prosper. Our forum gets nice pics, probably directly posted by the model and the paysite receives free traffic + sign-ups (I know some numbers, it's more than you would think...)

Last but not least I have correct the statement of juggernaut, because that's completely wrong.
Rapidshare is a own (in the meanwhile mid-sized company), which has absolutely nothing to do with the forum. They are just offering webspace/traffic for movies. But with a download limit of 20mb / hour. If you want more you have to pay for it, but why should we get a penny from them? Doesn't make sense, so please think the next time before you reply.

The solution seems relatively straight forward to me.

Step 1:
Send DMCA notices, to the site owner, their provider, and to RapidShare and their provider if content is also posted there. (Site owner isn't in US, but host is)

Step 2:
Notify any advertisers and sponsors they may be using, both on the forum and on the main site. A few hits on their revenue stream will get their attention.

Persistance by multiple site/content owners and they'll either quit or get shut down.

i notified paypal and have been icqing with the owner. he says i should just give in and post there to get traffic. I hate freeloaders but even worse I hate paying bandwidth for freeload surfers who burn up sample vids and photos on my tour and then move on. thats all i have ever really gotten from posting on message boards.

i will follow up with this and I hope those who are being ripped off will do so also. I know that human nature will keep the surfer looking for free content, I just hate it when webmasters allow it and even promote it. They of all people should understand

DMCA = Digital Millenium Copyright Act.

In a nutshell it makes the host equally responsible for copyright infringment if the content isn't removed from their servers within 24 hours of receipt of notice.

Send the DMCA to he webmaster, to his host, the assigned owner of the IP block, to the registrar, and to any other names on the whois record. They are required to act, or each and every one of them risks being dragged into a lawsuit.

Considering by the address, the host are about 15 minutes away from where I am at, I could just |pcsucks| the server they are on for you. ;)

Well I would love to ask this guy how he is stopping 15 year olds from accessing this forum when they know there are adult images and videos there? I'm sure thats a violation. I went to register and did not see anything that asked for age verification. People like this are just assholes. BTW If i said that site was used by his forum then ok Im wrong. But fact is that company thats hosting the files is in violation of paypals agreement. You can not offer in anyway shape or form anything that is paid by paypal that is related to adult. So if this company is offering hosting and knowing all well that people are placing up videos and images for download. I would think this company also knows that 90% of the files will be porno. Paypal will not see it as a simple "we cant control what the user does with there hosted space" paypal will just see a transaction for a service that allows porno to be gotten from the site.

Yeah, they will not wanna mess with the German Police.

How do we stop 15-year olds from accessing our Free Sites and Link Lists that has pictures and movies? We can't.
