is there a way to edit files in cute ftp
 

in cute ftp I can view a file on the server and I can even add or delete stuff on that file but I cant save it without downloading it

does anyone know how to edit stuff on the server with cute ftp ?????

I have CuteFTP 6.0 Professional, and it allows you to edit files. Just right click on the file, there should be an Edit option. Edit what you want (text based), and then just save it. Don't do Save As. That's all there is to it, and come in very handy!

Right click on the file, select Edit, and CuteHTML should open.
Edit the file, then "save to remote".

It works the same way in the standard version of Cute as well.

If it's something critical it's probably a good idea to download a backup anyway. Speaking from experience. :(
