What's my TGP site worth?

I keep seeing people selling domains/tgp sites and was wondering what one of mine could be worth.

Generally I have seen offers of 1x-3x monthly gross recently. Obviously there is some value to software that was purchased to run the site. Generally retail cost - transfer fee + some discount for software that is purchased.

You can alter those number by the length of time the site has been up, documented traffic growth, etc.

Out of curiosity, have you ever looked at your site at 800x600? I'm betting you haven't. ;) I tried in IE also just to make sure it wasn't 'a Firefox thing'.

Yeah that page is way too wide IMO.

Check it again and let me know.

Thanks,

Bill

It's not the width that is causing the issue, though I'm not fond of horizontal scroll on any type of site. What's happening at 800x600 (the resolution hand picked by the gods) is that your content that should be next to the left column of links and what-not, is dropping to the bottom of the page, below the the left column. I just viewed your source and all I can really say is that your structure is screwed. For example, immediately after the end of your left links column, I see this:

Untitled Document

2K a day is not worth anything really unless it was 100% bookmarkers and SE traffic. All the site is worth is the domain, design and scripts for the most part. Too many people can build to 2K a day in under a week with a trade script.

As UW noticed you have another set of opening html tags in the middle of your page and no closing page tags anywhere on the page. :(

Looks fixed. |thumb

Thanks, I was doing something so silly!
I was inserting tables with SSI code, but what I didn't realize is that the html pages that I was making the tables with had all those head and html tags! - duh!! So I just had to remove all the tags and upload them again.

But I'm also glad that you guys pointed out the width problem as well.

Thanks - yet again!

Bill
