How to play .wmv files in Quicktime?
 

I thought this would be as good a place as any to ask Mac related questions because of our resident expert Cleo :) But anyone's help is appreciated. How do I play .wmv files in Quicktime player? I get a message that the file type isn't recognized by Quicktime. I think the Quicktime player is the best free plugin for video out there.

QuickTime does not play WMV files.

Use Windows Media Player, it's a free download and Safari works properly with it.
